I cannot understand why we lag so far behind other clubs when it comes to sponsorship instead of proactively seeking new deals to re-enforce our finances, we seem quite happy to bumble along without a care in the world until somebody else shows them what can be managed with a bit of application.
This all comes down to desire and ambition..... Something we do not seem to posses anymore. How can we honestly expect our players and manager to show it when the board are so lackadaisical.
I hate to mention his name on here but I saw a really cutting quote from Rooney earlier......
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... derby.html"But when you are at a club like United, you have to be full of motivation and desire to win every year.
"That comes from the manager and all the players are aware of it.
"The club and the players have to be full of that desire. That's why the club has been so successful."
All the time we treat 4th place as a trophy nothing will change, we need to get back the winning mentality, we need a board that shares the fans passion for the Arsenal and above all we need to have desire and ambition to be champions again.
Everybody has an opinion on whether Wenger should remain, personally I think he should of been removed already but that is just my opinion. The trouble is when the time comes and Wenger goes can we trust this board to pick the right manager to replace him........ answer NO we can't. With every passing day it becomes more and more apparent that our current board do not give a fuck about success only making money. I realise many of you on here already know that we are and have been for some time a club in decline. But I still see far too many fans in full support of the club and back every decision they make.
Do not be lulled into believing this mini revival is anything but that...... a couple of good games and everything is rosy in the Wenger garden. If we win every game until the end of the season and finish in the top 4..... great.
It does not mean though that the problem has gone away, That will not happen until we have a new board, a board who have the vision and ambition to take us back to the top!
Kroenke out!!
