ManUre being able to win the league at the Grove good

this will be a painful kick in the balls.

Really I think it will only hurt wenger considering his own personal memories, but he gave up success a long time ago. Kroenke would hardly have a clue, and Gazidis, why would it hurt him, utd are just another team.

I'll be there at the game so I hope we put up a fight, rather that insipid performance at OT earlier in the season.

Er does this mean utd get the trophy presentation at the emirates if they win?? I swear that will be sickening if that's the case. :(

League winners only receive the trophy at an away ground if they've no home games left I believe? Utd have home games against Chelsea & Swansea to play after us so they should get it at one of those matches....

I will watch our match with baited breath. I would force myself to watch the inevitable happen. It would literally kill me to see it materialise, but I believe that you have to suffer the bad to appreciate more, the good.

Then, I would find a dark corner in an empty room, and mutter to myself.

Thanks Arsene, we're now plunging new depths.

Sell your captain and top scorer to one of your biggest (ex) rivals then watch them win the league on your own turf? No thanks Arsenal, I'll be keeping my money in my pocket - and not going - as there are plenty of better things the price of a Cat A ticket can pay for than suffer that.

I thought we didn't get the trophy at prawnville in '02 in case of trouble...

The premier leagues preference is to present it at home games. :)

it's amazing the negative nonsensical fantasies people have on this board
really struggle to understand why...

our tactical inflexibility in infuriating,
going into a season with one centre forward baffling,
failing to address that in the winter transfer window actually unbelievable,
we've allowed dozens of players to go out on loan to places where they never play - so their careers stagnate and values drop

but people on this board are more interested in getting upset about imaginary future website faux pas (that would never happen)
or totally implausible things the manager 'will' say one day

why wind yourself up by creating impossibly ludicrous, future PR fails,
is our real live and current stagnation not sufficiently irritating?

This will be the ultimate slap in the face to us and not only us but Wenger.

To see van Persie come back and clinch the title will hurt everyone involved with the club other than Gazidis and Kroenke.

I think we will beat them but on the chance that we don't it will hurt everyone including the manager.

Not a chance we'll beat em. Utd are the kings of getting a job done & they have a managed who can adopt his tactics to suit. Even if they have to put 10 behind the ball and nick a winner on the break, I just don't see us beating them. We've hardly looked convincing in our last few games...

I think you look at teams who need to get the job done and generally they do. Our bunch of wishy-washy :censored: s don't give a shit anyway, and will probably be looking to get hold of a few autographs, photos and a souvenir Utd shirt to boot.

This is exactly what I thought in Nov 2008 and May 2011. We won both, and the latter was very much a case where they should have got the job done with a full side that would have basically tied the league up and let them focus on the CL final.

Not saying I think we'll get a result, far from it, but not a chance is going a bit far.

I wonder if they'll maintain that it was right to sell him for footballing reasons? Because when the player you've just sold for footballing reasons returns to your ground to win the league, just 9 months after he's left, it's pretty fucking obvious that you're making MAJOR mistakes.

Or would we rather spurs lost (better chance of top 4 for us), Utd beat Villa & then win it at ours?

Cheers Arsenal. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

How is that a dilemma? :? :? Surely we want Spurs to lose even if it means United can win the title at our ground? They are after all our rivals. :banghead:

Been thinking about this over the last few days and the more that I think about it the more I think that citeeh losing would be the better result for us  There are 5 more games remaining for the scum after Sunday (inc chavs away) in which they can balls up their bid for top 4 but realistically citeeh losing on Sunday is the ONLY way we can stop manure winning the league at our place :( I know if ferguscum s rabble win the league on Monday night then our gutless c.unts will have to give them a guard of honour next week but believe me that is preferable to seeing them win it on our turf
