PS All those wanting Wenger's head on a plate - please think carefully about the many lowly seasons prior to his tenure then tell me which manager would be able to provide the same level of consistent competitiveness with the same resources - be careful what you wish for.......
you don't sound like you know what your talking about mate, please elaborate
Ok Henry - i went and saw the game in question and I'd like to get a copy of the recording of it so i can watch it - both because it was a good trip but also because it was a 10 goal spectacular - I've used the acronym DVD on this occasion to represent a typical format one might use to keep said copy - to be honest i'm finding it hard to elaborate much more. Procure? - ie buy. Ummm does 'anyone' know how i might do that ie I am happy to accept any individuals advice.
I don't know what i'm talking about? Maybe it's the translation - I speak English but with an Australian twang however i didnt think that came through in writing. Perplexed somewhat.

I think he was wanting u to elaborate on the bit he had put in bold

Just make sure you don't say we've signed Kalou until we really have or that you think 'Arry's a great manager.......otherwise one of our 'extreme posters' will mention it from time to time :D

Thanks Macca - same here!
Swifty - you'll be all the more welcome here mate if you mention any of the following

Djourou is an excellent CB
Poor old Theo deserves more than 100k per week
You long for the day when we re-sign one of our 'big 3' players in Alex Song
We should stop Arshavin leaving and play him every week
We should get on the phone to Watford now and bring back Almunia instead of Chesney
Denilson should be automatic first choice in the midfield when he returns from loan
The 8-2 defeat at OT should never be mentioned again as it is an irrelevant piece of history compared with the magical victory in Udine the same week

Djourou is entertaining in the bootroom but that's as much as I can do with the above material.

As for Wenger, you're right. I can't think of a single person who could .... blah, blah, blah. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
Ok Perry - who is taking over after your Wenger coup succeeds and why wil they do better?
Wenger Coup. I like the sound of that. Like the Velvet Revolution or Arab Spring. Nobody can guarantee success but the club has been crying out for at least the last 5 years for a new broom to sweep away the culture of apathy, mediocrity and ultimately failure- and by failure I mean not winning things- that surrounds this club. A new manager would come in and have new ideas, new energy, new tactics- or indeed some tactics- and wake the players up from their comfy existences and make them work to impress him. He would also bring new transfer ideas, a more modern and less arrogant overall view of the game and with any luck, recent success of winning something. It would re-energize a lot of fans, staff and players who have come to accept failure as part of everyday Arsenal life.

Now, I'm not saying that a Wenger Coup would mean instant success but why allow a man who has not learnt from his mistakes, failed eight years in a row to win trophies that teams with a fraction of the wage bill have won, stood by when his best players have been sold, lied continuously to the fans, massively over-paid never-will-bes because of a vanity project, ignored gaping holes in the squad , still not found a goalkeeper after nearly seven years of trying, not adapt the game or style of play take into account the opposition, play players out of position, recruit and pay Santos, Chamakh, Alumunia, Silvestre, Squillaci, Bischoff, Park and not tie up deals for Mata and Alonso to keep plodding along on a path to nowehere. All whilst taking £7.5M out of the club every year and having the temerity to moan about too much money in football.

As for who could take over. Here are some possible names:
Joachim Lowe
Jurgen Klopp
Paulo Bento
Frank de Boer
Didier Deschamps
Michael Laudrup
Vincenzo Montella
Roberto Mancini
Frédéric Hantz
Louis Van Gaal
Otmar Hitzfeld
Frank Rijkaard
Dennis Bergkamp

Again, I'm not saying that I'd want all or any of them but there are possibilities.
If I turn it around, why should we stick with Wenger?

Because we will win at least one trophy next season and in 10 years time when we've been the dominant world club for a number of years and the envy of all others on the back of our sustainable model people will recognise the legacy left by AW. I can hardly wait for the replies......

The trophies that matter these days are the League Title and Champions League.
The domestic cups are nice to win, but "extras", less important to finances and attracting new players than finishing fourth.

The sustainable model might be good long term, but we cannot pay off the stadium until summer 20131 without financial penalties.
Last I looked we still owed over £200M on it!

But even if the stadium debt was wiped out overnight by a sugar daddy owner we are stuck with Wenger's tactics and a defence that is not up to par.

Good man! Comprehension and knowledge - both in dangerously low supply in this day and age.

well you came out with that shite and haven't even bothered defending it so I'm questioning if your here as a WUM or if you really know fuck all about a club you claim to support. Even in our worst domestic season since the 1976 we got to a European Cup Winners Cup Final, and that was an exceptionally bad season for us when we finished twelfth. Where are your other examples?
