Best Live Act You've Been To?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

difficult to compare, but amongst my fave gigs...
pink floyd - the wall, earls court 1981 (wish they'd put that out on dvd)
public enemy - camden electric ballroom 1988
stones - brixton academy 1995 (still had it, and great place to see them)
pixies - mean fiddler 1987 (first UK gig)
smiths - brixton academy 1986 (last ever gig)
u2 - zoo tv tour earls court 1992
redskins - many times many places 1984-1986
new order - heaven nightclub 1984
wacko jacko - bad tour wembley stadium 1987 (great show, despite him being a nutter)
today's acts aren't quite as good for me, radiohead excepted. but i guess it's a generational thing. i do try and stay open minded 8)

I also saw Bruce Foxson and Rick Buckler From The Jam in Limerick last summer they were fronted by Russell Hastings and had David Moore on keyboards that night. It was a brilliant gig but it wasn't the same with Paul Weller. Also got the chance to meet Bruce Foxson and Rick Bucklar after the show nice people i must say. :D

Van Halen at Donington in 84. 8)
AC/DC at the RDS Dublin in 82.
Thin Lizzy at Leisureland Galway in 83.

and at Slane Castle;

The Boss in 85
Bowie in 87
Faith No More in 92
Neil Young in 93
Pearl Jam in 93
REM in 95
Oasis in 95

Worst live show ever? Guns n Roses at Slane in 92!

I'm a big GnR fan but they fucking sucked that day. Late on stage, too many changes of clothes by Axl Rose, dodgy sound, and motormouth Axl lipping off about every little fucking thing that annoyed him.  Tosser.

Faith No More blew them off stage that day... 8)

....I also really enjoyed some of the free concerts they used to put on in Harlow town park:
- Bay City Rollers
- Kenny
- Darts
- After The Fire
- Q-Tips (inc Paul Young)

I find that any concert where you don't have to pay is usually a good one!!

Also seen some great pub gigs over the years, mostly by bands that no one has ever heard of!! I'll go into any pub if they have a live band on. 8)

Recently I saw Editors at last summers 02 Wireless and they were unexpectedly impressive, also The Coral supporting Oasis a few years back in Southampton snuck up on me. But the best gig was Arctic Monkeys at Ally Pally pre christmas, the place fucking rocked!
