SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Steve O , Is there a limit on spending on the BBQ, or do you have a limitless war-chest. ? I hope you are trawling the butchers shops etc looking not just for names but quality in the burgers and sausages etc. Hope you find a butcher with 30 years experience to help make your choices.

We want as many top players as we can but we have to focus on the players [already here] and develop them as well
What we want is not a [big] name but a good player. The name is less important. What is important is the quality of the player.
:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: It's happened again.

Same shit, different day. We shouldn't be surprised but it doesn't stop you getting very fucking annoyed every time he opens his mouth.
Win the league with this squad.................................what fucking planet is he on. We scrape 4th, everyone else strengthens and he actually comes out with crap like that. The rest is the usual bullshit we hear every summer.
How is it Man City and Chelsea have new managers but have still managed to bring good players in. We have the same ol for the last 15 years and he hasn't managed to do a fucking deal.
Is he also that stupid that he can't see that without any new signings, the team are on a hiding to nothing next year as the crowd will be ready to jump on anything negative from the first game.

We've all been ripped off again.
WENGER OUT

Question - Is it possible to get a refund on a season ticket?

Really disappointed in that latest Wenger statement, the least he could have done is assure Ramsey, Diaby, Gervinho, & Szczęsny he would not 'kill' them by bringing in new signings, these delicate flowers need to feel loved.

Sorry if this has already been posted but the victim forums seem to think Suarez release clause is for clubs who have qualified for the CL. We haven't qualified yet which is why Ayre and co have rejected our bid out of hand. That would explain why Wenger is prepared to wait. As Suarez is banned for 6 games there is not reason to push too hard now anyway.

Wenger is a disgrace with what comes out of his mouth. Arrogant and disillusioned. I can understand waiting for Suarez but he is just part of the jigsaw. Where is our centre back who can slot in on the left? Hurry up with Cesar and stop ignoring the dm that was such a staple part of our make up but has never been addressed since Flamini left. Once these have been addressed then look at your cover on the left wing. It may not be as simple as a trip to the supermarket but it isn't rocket science.

Yup, "without additions we can be title challengers next season" is about as ridiculous as it gets.

How can the same squad that did so badly last season be expected to fight for the title next season without additions?

He didn't need to say that and I doubt anyone believes it either. Not even him.

For those of you who really believed the BS this year, once more with feeling

http://www.samaritans.org/

Seriously it's much better for your well being if you accept that we are never going to spend £20+m on one player. I've been very zen for the last transfer windows.
