I think Jack was played there to develop his positional play and decision making.
Taking away his option to burst forward, limits him too much as a player IMO

How can you say that? Arsene's youth academy is the envy of the whole footballing world. I mean look at that lengthy list of strikers its produced over the past 17 years like errrr...................hold on...........it'll come to me.........errrm..........surely there's one.............err, nope. You're right - one of his last remaining myths peddled by the likes of Paddy Barclay i.e. he is a great developer of talent. He isn't

how many top strikers have come from big clubs youth teams?
can only think of Owen and Fowler from Liverpool.
Sometimes the best strikers manifest their talents a bit later - Drogs and Wrighty the obvious examples
