SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If I REALLY wated wnger dead do you think I would say so 'Publicly'...I do NOT wish the man dead I want him gone from our club though, but of course you are expert at taking somone's comments and using them to your own WUM Purposes. For the record if there is a coward on here its the WUM's of which you are Uno Numero.

as I said anytime anyplace 'sweetie'
Would you say, in the stadium or in an Arsenal pub, that Wenger should get a bullet in the head?
No, you wouldn't.

Every home game I'll be at Hen & Chickens before, Highbury Barn afterwards.
I'm a pacifist but I'm sure if you pop by and shout that shizzle out,
you can find somebody to give you a slap.
prick

Pacifist's are not WUMs and you have been a WUM from day one.

FACT.

No window as we did signed Viera later on but pre season was still a time most players were signed.
That preseason I seem to remember the press/clubcall banging on about the stars that we would be signing and didnt arrive. We always seemed to be on the back pages due to Wrighty/Rioch/No Manager crisis.

I really enjoyed that season even though we didnt win anything.

You probably enjoyed that season due to its unpredictability, I’m convinced that the first season after Wenger, whenever it is, I will enjoy more than I have done for a while (unless we absolutely collapse of course). Everything at the moment just seems so predictable, year after year. I just find us completely boring/frustrating at the moment.

If I remember did Viera miss the first few games ?

Also was kind of a fans hero from day one.

all of the 90s was unpredictable for us.
We came mid table when one of the favourites, then suffered Nayim from the halfway line.
That wasn't fun.

I think I remember he made his debut against Sheff Wed (at Hillsborough, I think) in a 3-1 (or 4-1) victory. I seem to remember watching the game on Sky and thinking the player stood out like a sore thumb - he looked fantastic! then again, I'd got used to midfielders like Jensen, Hillier and Parlour, so seeing a guy with that much quality was eye opening.

I think I started to get excited about Wenger's arrival at that point. Even Remi Garde impressed me.

Some wat wenger gone - I do.

he wants wenger to stay because he thinks he's doing a good job.
I'm not a Wenger fan, but whilst he's in charge, I wont slag him off in public.

Why not?

If any fans have the right to criticise their manager and team it those fans of that club.
Just a bit of respect for our most successful manager.

For the millionth time wenker is not and never will be our most successful manager :x His trophies to seasons ratio is actually no better than average despite what the wenger lovers would have you believe. Do try not to just focus on the first 8 years of his reign cos the c.unt is still in charged and therefore should be judged on his entire reign

Anyway respect is a two way thing - a c.unt that constantly lies and tries to bullshit me and then tells me that he would rather have asian tourists fill the stadium every week than supporters like us who have given a lifetime of support to the club, deserves nothing except utter contempt from me  :cussing:

utter contempt is what I have for many people in football (not our manager)
I don't want them murdered.
Presumably the put a bullet in Wenger's head thing was a weak attempt at a joke.
It wasn't funny.
At all.

Can the arguements and constant attempts at moderation by Highbury JD please be stopped its ruining the forum.

Onebard used one sarcastic comment out of frustration due to his love of the club which im sure we all have. If it was ignored and seen as such we wouldnt have had pages of aguements spread accross 2 threads and now Highbury JD is like a dog with a bone.

Let it go and leave the moderation to the MODS.

thats all :banghead:

HighburyJD must be one of Wenger's henchmen trying to get more attention on this forum's moderation than our utter lunacy and failure in the market

Luis Suarez has reportedly apologised to his Liverpool team-mates at training today.

Ahhh, but its not about quantity is it Herd.....its about 'exceptional quality'......we will maybe look to add one or two experienced players blah blah.......and don't forget how active we've been in the 'internal market'.......Akpom looks every bit as good as Lupoli and Quincy so millions saved there too
