Just a quick hello! And say hello other newbies

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Surely the most cringeworthy moment in recent history.......if only I was a 'superfan' like those couple of old heffers.

Displaying that thing after getting an 8-2 rodding and still cheering on the senile old fucker at the helm.

We finished that game with fucking Lansbury, Djourou and Traore and the wanker still carried on regardless after that glory night in Udine......which is exactly what will happen if we beat Fenerbahce

There's not a lot in it, the two ladies with 'nice personalities' is just an embarrassment to photography but the mentally handicapped chap means the I luv AW photo gets my vote.

I just cannot stop chuckling at that one every time I look at it.

PS: welcome to the forum everyone :barscarf:

Have to say that there seems to be a lot of newbie's just recently.
Some even have a sense of humour, still.
Welcome to all of you.

By the way if any of the newbies have any pics of Lord Wenger's disciples carrying the "Real Fans Have Real Patience" banner they will be made even more welcome

Its proving to be the Loch Ness Monster of the forum

Hating Wenger is a personal point of view.
I think it makes you a prick but hey that's just another personal point of view.
If you hate the vast majority of Arsenal fans too, maybe it's time to just call it quits.
This thread is heading down that path.

Why does it make one look like a penis JD? Should we just like/love him unconditionally despite all the things he does/he doesn't do for us? (mainly doesn't do), just because he 'manages' our club! Hmmm...

Furthermore I bet you loved RVP (sorry I'll use yr now derogatory and funny name VanStaplecunt) before he left and gave his great send off speech..... You can't have it both ways!

Not sure if this is directed at me, if not then please disregard.

Judging by some of your posts tonight you appear to be in a rather bad mood. I haven't posted the above because I "hate Arsenal fans", I'm just annoyed at the incompetence demonstrated by our manager and am blowing off steam.

I don't hate Wenger, as I don't know him, but I do hate pretty much every word that comes out of his mouth these days, if that makes me a prick, I can live with that.

I think you may be taking things too seriously.

I think he's just overcompensating/lashing out because of the overwhelming guilt and confusion from all the anti-Wenger thoughts that are swirling round his head.

Hi all
New to the forum -1st arsenal game aged 7 1978 went most Saturdays with me old man from 8 to 17 years old then took over his season ticket until rioch was manager 94 I think. Started off in school boys enclosure - Brady and rix my fav players when in my younger years to Jennings talbot & woodcock to Adams rocky & Thomas to wright smith & parlour.

Always a Saturday at 3pm, for me the minute sky got involved football for the working class family man went out the window. Memory is jaded but I'm sure it went from something like 160 a season to 380 within 2 seasons clockend. Saturday kick offs far and few between, parking restrictions expanded it just made it more expensive at the time and with a newborn I just couldn't do it. So the odd away trip and home ticket when possible which to be fair in wenkers successful years was quite hard unles it was a final at Cardiff or cl at wembley or the away ground in cl games or OT for semis v s**t c**ts from the lane etc etc....

Admittedly I missed the best years for football quality wise but atmosphere wise once highbury went all seated I can honestly say every game I attended from age 8 to end of standing was the dogs bollox ! Win lose or draw it didn't matter we were sh*t but we were arsenal....

Today I'm an armchair fan - still cut me I bleed arsenal but sky and money killed the football and the club I really loved.
Players used to drink after games with fans, away days on the p*ss etc etc all on a tenner.

Anyway HI to all

Nice...
I personally think not being able to let go of something that is clearly past its sell by date makes one a myopic bell-end, but hey-ho, just another opinion I guess

Welcome on board DK71. Nice intro - great to read about the old days. You'll be in good company on here! Alot of us are disenfranchised old Arsenal that miss Good Old Arsenal, mate.
