Now, not that I give a shit, but surely Ozil's record at Madrid, coupled with the shock and disappointment of players and fans alike, is evidence that Ozil could - and in fact DID - handle the pressure of playing for Madrid.
He may well have not liked his position in the team being under threat, and he may have panicked about losing his place in a world cup year, but I don't understand how anyone (let alone a president who surely watches most Madrid games) can accuse Ozil of not handling the pressure. The evidence just doesn't support his mindless accusation (not that the press would ever challenge him on it, of course)
Still, he says no one at Madrid should be disappointed (even though they clearly are), so we're happy and he's happy. Perfect.![]()
I don't know a great deal about him to be honest.1989 wrote:Why does this surprise you? Perez is a well-known *word censored*.g88ner wrote:Just read comments from Real Madrid president Florentino Perez that Ozil couldn't handle the pressure of playing for Madrid![]()

Thats what Wengers disciples usually say about his signings....
Ah yes - perhaps Ozil actually is a quality player unlike the dead weights Wenger has been telling us were "world class"
