yup, yet again, it is clear after one game that buying top quality a la Cazorla and Ozil means you are a much better team for it. If only Wanger was capable of learning?? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Just read comments from Real Madrid president Florentino Perez that Ozil couldn't handle the pressure of playing for Madrid :?

Now, not that I give a shit, but surely Ozil's record at Madrid, coupled with the shock and disappointment of players and fans alike, is evidence that Ozil could - and in fact DID - handle the pressure of playing for Madrid. :?

He may well have not liked his position in the team being under threat, and he may have panicked about losing his place in a world cup year, but I don't understand how anyone (let alone a president who surely watches most Madrid games) can accuse Ozil of not handling the pressure. The evidence just doesn't support his mindless accusation (not that the press would ever challenge him on it, of course  )

Still, he says no one at Madrid should be disappointed (even though they clearly are), so we're happy and he's happy. Perfect. 8)

Obviously coming up with complete and utter bollocks to try and justify an unpopular decision - I bet the shock of losing one of their best players contrasted quite significantly with the inevitability of the Bale deal and the stupid fee.

Why does this surprise you? Perez is a well-known *word censored*.

Thats what Wengers disciples usually say about his signings....

Ah yes - perhaps Ozil actually is a quality player unlike the dead weights Wenger has been telling us were "world class"

Regardless of anything else that is or will be posted on this thread, nothing will beat this post for hitting the nail on the head 8) It's funny that the wenker lovers are worshipping at the arsehole alter for signing ozil, but are still missing the impact and significance of signing a quality player has on the team and are not questioning their god's continued practice of signing cheap inferior players

Regarding perez, he is a guy that is well known for his love of the limelight and all things perez  Both of his tenure's in charge of madrid have been about signing "star" players as opposed to buying players of need and the signing of monkey boy typifies this - would you bother signing bale if you already had ozil, di maria, callejon (sp  ) and the portugese ladyboy to fill those wing positions ? All the while madrid are screaming out for a quality right back and maybe even a centre back but team building is not what perez is about. Slating ozil is about justifying his decision to sell a popular player and if it fires up ozil even more then so best for us

Perez is the same guy who said this:

"We will not miss Makelele. His technique is average, he lacks the speed and skill to take the ball past opponents, and ninety percent of his distribution either goes backwards or sideways. He wasn't a header of the ball and he rarely passed the ball more than three metres."

According to Orbinho technically only 2 assists and a "fantasy league" assist.
