As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Apart from the Huth block we did try and play a bit more but Arsenal are a quality side, even when they're not at there most fluent. Ozil(although he cost a fortune) in IMO,will probably become an AFC all time great, like TH&DB.
Its a shame really, despite all the media hype and different forums,I have no mithers with Arsenal. I did all my schooling in Croydon in the 70's&80's and although being a Palace area, everyone seemed to support the Gooners, so I've always looked out for their results, but that's as far as it goes!
Good luck in the PL&CL,got to go again,Hash is trying to Ring me.....ouch...
It's good of you to come on here after a defeat scfc64 and say well done - so hat off to you for that :barsc
As already stated by many, not a great performance but a good win, Arteta back and top of the league - would definitely have taken that after the opening day.
Supported them for 40 years so its never bothered me saying when we deserved nothing, nice playing more openly(ish) than what we've produced in the past, especially at the Emirates. Like you say,Arteta back, top of the league, happy dazzzz indeed! Anything but the Scousers.... !

Fair play to you mate, good on you. Balanced and well reasoned....unlike ''oatcake forum''......boy do they hate us on there!
Cheers, even I have to admit you can't reason with some people, even your own (so to speak!)

Cheers for that. I've just sent David Moyes some armbands...well out of his depth...

felt strange to watch stoke today pass the ball not trying to be smart or anything paul but it was a culture shock, and you lot didn't even try to kick us that often

Ha ha ! A real culture shock! Frank text from Bulgaria and he wouldn't have it either
only 50k attendance, and it felt a lot less, the support for this game was more than quiet, come's to something when all you can hear is Maria singing.
I know we are all quick to jump on the band wagon and slate the players, but the vocal support today was awful.
the crowd only seem to get going when the score was 1-1,
Great day today not our best performance we could do, but top of the league and 3-1 isn't anything to scoff at, Ramsey once again excellent, Ozil looks like he is basically running the show already, his influence is amazing.
Stoke just couldn't cope with our aerial bombardment!
For all the decent football they played at times there was still all the niggly fouls once the ball has gone/borderline assault from Huth on Gnabry to remind you who you're playing.
I thought Ozil was rather quiet but still walked away with 3 assists! Ramsey I thought looked a bit drained second half along with a few others but flamini and the back 5 held us together very well. Good to see Gnabry overcame the stoke targeting of him in the first half, thought he was very composed second half and showed good character.
A game that will only survive in the memory because it was Ozil's home debut and thanks to the morons sat behind me who were booing flamini for some reason only known to themselves. Still, a wins a win
50k is shocking. I know its Stoke but they are according to FM our rivals, and its the home debut of Ozil. That is truly worrying.
BTW I wouldn't have had Flamini as MOTD. I thought he was poor in the first half. He could have stopped the Cameron equalizer if he remembered his job was as a DMC and not an AMC.

I think that's a bit harsh to say he should have stopped the goal,he cant be everywhere at once, everybody makes mistakes.flamster doesn't stop running and organising,he has been a god send,i just hope he retains his place now Arteta is fit,id rather have Jack rested with Tets stepping in for him and flamster keeping his place
Flamini works exceptionally hard in every game he plays. His organisational skills are something we've lacked too.
I think he was a very good addition during the summer ( even though we should have bought more).

Agreed - when they put a cross in from about 40 yards out and their striker is able to side-foot volley it under no pressure from our defenders my first instinct isn't to blame the DM.
It was just a hopeful ball but poor communication from Sagna and a combination of ball-watching/lead boots from Mertesacker.

Flamini is the best free transfer this club is likely to see TBH. Off topic slightly, was anyone else totally gutted when the fucking Spuds got a last gasp winner? They worry me a bit:(
