Gerrard equalizes with a pen, his 100th goal, barcodes down to 10 men.
Suarez the man fouled.
Edit, Suarez went down after defender pulled out a holy cross to ward him off

Steven Gerrard gets the benefit of the doubt...
Should be his full name.

Finished 2-2, not a bad result for us really
.

Agreed. If we're going to finish top 4 again, it'll help if our main competition for hijacking our top 4 "membership" drop pointsRyanswannell wrote:Finished 2-2, not a bad result for us really.

The Cardiff keeper was bouncing the ball ready to punt it downfield when eto toed it away, hethen rounded the keepr but slipped so hazard was on hand to finish, comedy gold

Going on your description, that sounds like a foul. It's considered in the 'keepers possession when getting ready to kick it.LeftfootlegendGooner wrote:Did you hear how the equaliser came about?skizz_b wrote:Chelsea have just equalised having been 1-0 down for 25 minutes against Cardiff

But if the GK let's go of the ball to kick it out (as in he throws it up in the air to hump it downfield) - The ball is deemed to be 'in play' and providing the oppo player doesn't foul him - then the goal should stand.

Not sure I understand the goal then. I'll watch it later before commenting furtherOneBardGooner wrote:But if the GK let's go of the ball to kick it out (as in he throws it up in the air to hump it downfield) - The ball is deemed to be 'in play' and providing the oppo player doesn't foul him - then the goal should stand.

FIFA rule book
'When a goalkeeper has gained possession of the ball with his hands, he cannot be challenged by an opponent.
'A goalkeeper is considered to be in control of the ball while the ball is between his hands and any surface (e.g. ground) and while in the act of bouncing it on the ground.'
Sounds like it shouldn't have stood-tho not actually seen it yet! Chelsea now gone 2-1 up as well
