Re: Dortmund Home Game
What a refreshing change this CL campaign has been. It is an absolute farce that Europe's premier competition involves cantering through against cack sides before possibly being tested in February. This is exactly what it should be - exciting games that actually all mean something against very good teams right from the group stages.
Re: Dortmund Home Game
Flamini out. "5 day rule" for concussion.
Re: Dortmund Home Game
Wenger was talking about resting Ramsey (already
) but that won't happen now. But sensible not to risk Flamini. He must stop head butting people though!

Re: Dortmund Home Game
Does anyone know how many Dortmund fans are coming over this time? Will there be loads in the home end again or are they less excited coming here second time around....
Re: Dortmund Home Game
enough expected for the club to prevent any Red members who joined (or rejoined, as in my case) after the draw was made from buying any tickets, including on exchange, for this fixture. Last season I sat next to umpteen Schalke and Bayern fans in the 'home end'. I remember the Dortmund fans being louder than the home fans when we played them the year before. The stewards seem to let them in with their bloody drum and loudhailers toobarnetgooner wrote:Does anyone know how many Dortmund fans are coming over this time? I expect that there will be loads of them including in the Arsenal areas. Maybe they can pay the touts' £300+ a ticket

Dortmund fans are my favourite of all fans (apart from arsenal fans, obviously). If only English fan groups could create a noise and an atmosphere like them.
Re: Dortmund Home Game
Last time they out-sang us, we went 1-0 up and suddenly our fans woke up a bit and they started up with "you only sing when you're winning" in perfect English (and deafening
)
What I liked was their support even when their team was losing.
I just hope they don't have a bloody drum like the Schalke fans (I was right next to them

This will be tough. They're better than Napoli and will put up a stronger challenge. Think we'll nick it by the 1 goal.
Klopp will be in the stand as hes serving out the 2nd part of his 2 game ban

Re: Dortmund Home Game
Can't stand drums at football matches. Reminds me all too much of trips up to the north to see us grind out 0-0 draws in places like Bolton with the drumming providing the only noise from the home crowd. Memories I'd rather not revisit...
