Barca at it again!!!!!!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Whilst I hope this doesn't get legs, if Barcawhores were to make a massive bid for him I suspect the decision would be taken out of his hands. I can hear the conversation now....
(Ivan) "Arsene, would you cope without Jack?"
(Arsene)! "Well yes, but........"
(Ivan) "Yes was all I needed to hear, thank you!" (hangs up phone)
You're not going to compare Cesc (Barca boy plucked from their youths) to local lad Jack are you?

Cesc is Xavi's replacement and Iniesta is 29 FFS

If Rambo carries on his great form the Spanish giants will be queuing up to sign him before JW

I don't see what the problem with unsettling players is. All big clubs do it.

Real Madrid does it with everyone, thankfully the Spuds seem like their favourites (Modric, Bale)

Bayern constantly does it locally in Bundesliga, look at how they acted with Borussia and Gotze last season:

http://www.theguardian.com/football/201 ... ons-timing

Their behaviour with Lewandowski hasn't been the best either.

Recently AC Milan acted the same way with Honda:

And didn't we act in a similar way when we bid "£40m plus £1" for Luis Suarez? I also remember us unsettling Cabaye so much, he actually refused to play for Newcastle

Some of us should drop the holier-than-thou act.

Thing is though red gunner, wasn't it actually Newcastle and Liverpool who make our bids public and not us? - I thought we'd simply (and quietly) made bids for the players, which is obviously completely fine.

That said, the +£1 bid suggests we'd been talking to Suarez' agent without permission, but that really is done by everyone so hardly worthy of even a raised eyebrow.

I genuinely don't think we're as bad as other clubs (probably to our detriment) but certainly not holier than though.

Just my two-penneth worth. :proudtosay:

i'd swap Jack for Iniesta. easily.

we'll get more out of Iniesta in the next three years than Jack, when Jack'll be off anyway.

another poor game tonight. I count he's had 2 good games this season...

He's a center midfielder playing on the wing. Of course he'll likely play poorly.

hey i didn't say it was his fault - he's not good enough to play wide, doesn't score hardly any goals and is behind Ramsay and Flamini at playing in the centre.

we should of played a midfield five tonight and tried to deny Dortmund the 2 points - Ozil-Jack-Arteta-Rambo-Caz.

it sounded like we played - Jack-Ozil-Rambo-Arteta-Rosicky......
