As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Except we fucking won't will we?
Dortmund are going to win the group, we are going to finish second and get stuffed by one of the decent group winners.....then we'll rescue 4th place from 5th place with AVB going up in a puff of smoke for the Scummers and our Lord and Master will be free to repeat all over again for at least 2 more years

Wouldn't be such a bad thing really. That could definitely be turned into a positive for players and fans alike. Bring it on
I can't believe you're equipping yourself so far in advance to douse the negativity!
If we do sadly finish 3rd behind Napoli, then it isn't all doom and gloom even if you see it as me dousing the flames
1. It's a competition we have a better chance of winning! (did you know it's been 8yrs since we... ah you know )
2. We don't have to sacrifice the FA Cup as we usually do
3. More games to use the squad against shite teams thus keeping fresher for our title challenge!
4. Fans get to see some new destinations in Europe
As I said, could become a positive. After all, the CL is a trophy we can't win at the moment.
Very few on this Forum have bought into the recent "We will win everything" bandwagon, because such a bandwagon only ever existed in the minds of the die-hard Wenger brigade.
1.) It was obvious and well mentioned by many that we are only an injury to Giroud away from scary problems.
2.) And that we still need another centre back.
3.) Add to the mix the poor form/ongoing injury of Wilshere, plus injuries to Walcott, Diaby, Podolski and Oxlade-Chamberlain.
4.) Also injuries to youngsters Eisfeld, Gnabry, Afobe, Sanogo and Zelalem, all relevant for the League Cup, and you have a clearer picture of where we stand.
6.) Then move on to the realisation that Flamini makes a significant positive difference when he plays, a difference that none of the other squad members have made so far this season.
5.) Too a mention that when we play at pace, with players sharp and fresh, we do well.
When we play more slowly, we do not.
We have improved upon last season, but still have some determined player purchases and defensive coaching efforts to make before we win the big trophies.
1-1 with Liverpool
2-1 to Yahnited
1-0 to Dortmund
will leave the Arsenal in serious shit because the fragile minds of our mentally strong squad (sic) will collapse as usual.
5th place end of season beckons and Wenger will walk away leaving us in a world of 'Wenger shit'.

What you prefer the alternative. I certainly don't. We are not small sh*te likeblue dippers or the scum down the swamp. There is a team that a tactician and a manager with fresh ideas can work on.
We were becoming midtable nothings when he arrived at least we are in slightly better shape. Given decent funds there are at least 4 managers out there that I think would make us feared again at home and in Europe. I mean really feared by proper teams not bottom feeder sh*te.
I can see us losing all 3 games, best I can envisage is point against the mousers. Why oh fucking why did I allow myself to start to dream that this season might be different.
I think that we will get at least a draw against the victims - imo they are the same as us, as in a team that appears to be better than it actually is and a team who will fall away and back into the pack of teams battling around for 4th, 5th and 6th. If this game was in dipperland then I would expect a beating but dont see it happening at the grove
Next 2 games are both losses imo - you could argue that manure are at their most vunerable right now but I would counter that by suggesting that another defeat away in dortmund will have this team on the ropes too
Let us be a wee bit more realistic here. United beat a Carlos Vela select 11 because the mid table Spaniards scored an OG, which United failed to capitalise upon. Arsenal were beaten by a top quality side that few, if any, Premier league sides could live with let alone beat, Dortmund are quality.
It was clear we would never beat Chelsea. Mata in a second string just shows the depth of their quality. Wenger may well be to blame for that.
Both United and Liverpool have a quality front two, but anywhere else on the pitch we should be better. David Mouse is not the same tactician as saf. WBA and Southampton show us that.
There is a lot that is wrong with Wenger and Arsenal but it is a bit too early to suggest the wheels have come off. Flamini will be a huge loss in the next few important games but we should try TV5 sitting in front of the established back 4 instead.

Would agree with a lot of this. The other point I'd make is that because of the dirth of real quality teams in the PL even if we lose to both Manure and The Victims we will still pop back against other teams and be in there scrapping it out for the Virtual Trophy of 4th place next May. The thing though that bugs me about this happening again is that this season we have the basis of a very good team and if Arsene had done proper business last summer we could have had a shot at the title. We all know he won't do the business in January so whilst we won't go into any downward spiral we will end up either 4th or 5th. Again.
No chance are we going to beat United. Our side is so weak mentally that once United put it up to us at all, we will crumble, as for this weekend, possibly a draw, and does anyone care if we lose to Dortmund, if we win it will just mean we can make it to the last 16, and be destroyed by any decent opposition we meet.

So true Manure will punch us right up the browner and you know who will no doubt play a massive part.If we get any result in the 3games itll be on sat but I doubt it.Dortmund will leave us with an arsehole like a ripped out fireplace It astounds me that we are 5-1 for the title and manure are 10s..were 1-3 for top 4 and theyre 4-6 I know they've been shite so far but that's a huge price.
Word on the street is that Ferguson left Utd and has since written a book. Some guy called Mouse in charge who failed to attract any of his summer targets and has a 40 year old in mid field.
Doesn’t matter what happens in the next 3 games in terms of the bigger picture as we won’t be winning the league and we certainly won’t be winning the Champions League.
Watch both Chelsea and Man City strengthen even further in January, we’ll be linked with everybody and sign nobody (Sanogo like a new signing, Walcott can play up front etc.), I can see Man Utd having a big splash on someone as well. So at best we’re playing for 3rd place, trouble is I think the points difference between 3rd and 5th or 6th is going to be tighter than ever, I can see it going into the last 5 games with us, Spurs, Man U, Liverpool and possibly Everton going for 2 places.
