Saints are playing well. Pocchetino's a similar coach in how he likes his teams to play, as Wenger. Hopefully this will suit us better than playing a 'park the bus and counter attack' team, where we often struggle.
Just wondering who next will join the injured/sick list. Giroud looks stuffed and he's got the 2 games vs Ukraine to negotiate.
Have the club extended Sagna's contract or is this his last season?

Pocchetino is no mug. He will not stand on TV talking pigeon English and allow the tabloid trash media an opportunity to mock, spin or belittle him, he will talk on his own terms. Sound defence and passing game have allowed the saints to steadily climb the table.

A win in this game would be a welcome shot in the arm for us. Let's hope the international break does us a favour and we don't suffer too many unwanted/needed injuries.

And although Ozil went AWOL yesterday I hope he will be the one to inspire the best out of the soon to return Podolski.

This Saints team are physically strong and work really, really hard, but also skilful. They've only conceded 5 goals in 11 games. I'll be very happy with any sort of win.

Flamoni is out after his 5th yellow- sadly clocked up rather predictably fast.

I was amazed when they fired Adkins after all he had done but looks like it was a good move.

Hoping as ever for a win but rather concerned it could be a draw.

The Marseille match is only 3 days later as well :(

Win here makes me little comfortable with the yesterday lost.

this will be one of the hardest matches of the season, last year Saints turned up for the big games( us at home aside). last year they beat man city, liverpool, chelsea and ran manu very close - admittedly they were at home, but they have improved this year and are much more solid this year with a revitalized defence. A friend of mine is a season ticket holder and reckons the sneiderlin and wanyama partnership in front of the back four has made a big difference. They also play a high pressure pressing game so will be very interesting to see how they cope with our midfield. They should definitely not be underestimated.
so its a tight one to call

could be a frustrating draw, very nervous about this as they will probably have a very wide, attacking set up which could really damage us but essentially they conceded six in this fixture last season so could easily be a comfortable win.
thats my assertive prediction 8)
