weekend matches
Re: weekend matches
Without Judas they really are midtable nothings.
They are a shambles since the scored and the goal scorer shouldn't be on the pitch
1-1

Mike Riley going to call Malkie Mackay and apologise for that one then.

Rooney could get sent off because he's been booked, keeps going deeper to get the ball and getting more and more frustrated.
Re: weekend matches
Come on Cardiff! As mentioned previously, another ref who doesn't have the balls to observe the laws of the game when it comes to Manure! Effin typical. Still, Cardiff look half decent, and Manures midfield still looks two-bob so here's hoping.

Re: weekend matches
People have (hilariously) been talking about spurs as title challengers for the last 3 years. Whether that sits with how we view spurs is beside the point. They had a fully fit £100m team that got dicked by a 6 goal margin, our team that day included out of form players like Ramsey and Rosicky, fat boy arshavin, Djourou, Traore, Coquelin and the square root of fuck all on the bench. You seriously think a team that lost the title that year on goal difference and easily won it a year later had not a single "top quality" player?augie wrote:LDB wrote:So is this more or less of a big deal then when we lost 8-2 at Utd? Margin of defeat is the same but at least we put the ball in the onion bag twice and had an injury list as long as your arm.
Our defeat was worse on at least three different levels -
1. They have just lost to an excellent citeeh side containing some of the best players in the world - we lost to a manc team that had not got as much as 1 player that could be classed as top quality
2. We are a team that is meant to have loftier ambitions than the scum - every year we are talked about as a contender (albeit an outsider and not favourite) for the domestic trophies and as such shouldn't be on the wrong side of hammerings like that.
3. We are Arsenal - the day we start judging ourselves as the same level as them is the day I stop being a Gooner. Their history is littered with beatings like that but for us that was a new record defeat. Losing like that should never be accepted by Arsenal,
Then, to cap it all off, we have two fat tarts holding up the most embarrassing, cringeworthy banner in the history of association football.![]()

Both are highly embarassing results for both clubs, the point I guess I'm trying to make is that I doubt the media carry on will be anywhere near as severe for dear old Tottenham, while the journo's couldn't wait to kick us while we were down.
Re: weekend matches
You talk about us having out of form players but this scum team have scored the sum total of 9 goals in the league this season.......a total that has been matched by aguero on his own so even out of form cannot compare with that stat

And I think 3 of them were penaltiesaugie wrote:You talk about us having out of form players but this scum team have scored the sum total of 9 goals in the league this season.......a total that has been matched by aguero on his own so even out of form cannot compare with that stat

Re: weekend matches
More that they weren't even first 11 players, the out-of-form bit referred to Ramsey and Rosicky because if someone looks back at our team sheet that day they might be lured into thinking they were playing anywhere near the same level they're at today. Totally different players.augie wrote:You talk about us having out of form players but this scum team have scored the sum total of 9 goals in the league this season.......a total that has been matched by aguero on his own so even out of form cannot compare with that stat

Freak results happen.LDB wrote:So is this more or less of a big deal then when we lost 8-2 at Utd? Margin of defeat is the same but at least we put the ball in the onion bag twice and had an injury list as long as your arm.
United also lost 6-1 AT OLD TRAFFORD to Man City

These things happen from time to time. That Arsenal team that was humiliated 8-2 was there for the taking with a back 4 of Traore, Jenkinson and Djourou in it, as well as Coquelin, Ramsey (who was certainly not the player he has been this season!) and a fat Arshavin. And Theo, who is hardly a man to rely on when the chips are down.
So much is made of that result, but United's 6-1 at home to Citeh was worse in my opinion.

I'm not Oirish but boy did I dance a jig when that ball went in...Justice, made even sweeter by Granny shagger fluffing his lines to make it 2-3

Re: weekend matches
Good result that, still frustrating that their best player this season should be serving a 3 game ban and they probably would have lost that game too.
Re: weekend matches
utd can raise they game for the arsenal but you got to beat the teams around you
