it will be down to other peoples failings - as was pointed out, manyoo are 9 points down on last year, the others 6-9 points - what part of other teams gaining less points being a failing, does not make sense to you ? ???g88ner wrote:Your expectations are insanely high. It's pleasantly surprising. I'm confident of a top 2 result.
if we win the title this year, it will be down to other teams failings. for me, for Wenger to get out of Jail free he has to win 2 titles in the next three years plus the Champions League.
Otherwise our failure to compete in the League, Champions League and FA Cup for 8 years is also his legacy.
And also, comments like "if we win the title this year, it will be down to other teams failings" just shows how unreasonable some fans are. Even if we succeed, they'll turn it into a negative. It's pathetic (on offence![]()

and my expectations match our ticket prices and managers wages - both the highest in football.
i don't think one CL title in 17 years is unrealistic do you ? and as for two league titles in 3 years - i give you 1989 and 1991....
the money thing is just revisionism - as we know, even with 100million last year we didn't spend it, nor this year either.
to bleat that he didn't have the money is also to overlook the wages spent on Denilson, Bendtner, Djourou, Senderos, Eboue, Vela, almunia, Arshavin for years and years, something like 200million quid in 9 years - over half the cost of the stadium.
so the money argument is utter BS imho. he had enough , he just spent it badly.
