A good pub for a good idiot

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Thanks guys for everything, including all the tourist stuff. It's very helpful to get advice from local people, they know the place better than anyone else :)

I'm from the same place as Wenger (Strasbourg, France). It's because of him that my father and I started to watch Arsenal games.

Have you ever met another Arsene Wenger in your home town, thus disproving the theory that there is only one? :D

Glad to see so much love for Greenwich on here. Spoken as a South East London gooner :barscarf: Although you're having a laugh about the foot tunnel? It leaks. Take the boat, that's brilliant.

I think there's more chance of bringing the Loch Ness Monster to shore this year than there is of finding There's Only Two....

To all our German/Swiss/French friends.....its down to you to disprove the theory that there really is.....Only One

:barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

By the way.....if a second one is discovered anywhere in the world can you PM me because I will need to break the news to my dad and the rest of block 2 gently.....

What are the good pubs round Highbury/FP on a non-matchday? I am staying at one of the Highbury Square apartments (via AirBnB) the weekend of Swansea/FA Cup QF but arrive Friday afternoon so would like to find a few for that night.

Maybe take a trip down to Hoxton?

You can walk 10 minutes to Highbury and Islington station and get the Overground train to Shoreditch High Street, a short journey.
Lots of pubs, bars and clubs around there; You can head to Brick Lane or to Old Street, Rivington Street, Curtain Road area, all within walking distance.

Or get a London overground train to Dalston Kingsland.

Good man - we need hard evidence.....a newspaper article, an extract from the telephone directory etc. As I said, I suggest you initially break the news gently as many a man believes that there is only one and we love it that way

:barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

I do need to ask the MODs that once we have evidence beyond all reasonable doubt that there really is only one that I am allowed to post it as many times as I like without it counting as trolling.....because at that point, to coin a phrase from our departed friend......it will be a FACT
