Forehead

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

completely agree, we had no business signing him and that falls on wenger no doubt but he cant slag off the boss for failing to capitalize on the opportunities he was given......too many in my opinion

True.
And who continued to play him, when it was obvious to everyone and his dog that he was pure shit. Not just average but shit. Just like he continued with Almunia, Denilson, Arseshavin, Djourou and still with Bendtner.
And by failing to buy a striker hes doing the same with Giroud who isnt good enough to be our first striker either.

Gerv was shit but its Wengers fault he was shit for us :(

I know mate - as I said Wenger took miles too long to figure out how awfule he was.

But as I say are our scouting team a joke? Supposedly looking ip every player in world football then settling on players like Cabaye and Kallstrom is laughable.

I refuse to believe that kallstrom was scouted - le cock stated that if he had 2 or 3 more days then he wouldn't have signed him so to me it suggests that no homework was done on the guy and we went in blind

At every club the scouting parameters are set by the manager so that he gets the type of players that can play in his system - when le cock signs players like podolski, who clearly doesn't suit his bullshit 4-5-1 system ( ), then you have to wonder who scouted him ? :? Is it possible that we are allocating the vast majority of our scouting budget to the pursuit of child prodigies ? I'd also like to know what individual scout is behind the moves that signed each of our players - as much as anything else I am intrigued to know how much clout wenkers disciple (grimandi) has within our set up

His best position was as number 10.
Flashes of brilliance, great dribbles.
But mostly he was all at sea.
Simply not consistent enough to be an Arsenal player.

I can only imagine that we were after Hazard and offered Lille our usual pittance, when they turned that down they realised the had an opportunity to offload Forehead and offered him (remember he had a similar number of assists or something in that team) to us at a "bargain price" which we snapped up.

Honestly one of the most inept, unintelligent and shite players that I've ever seen anywhere ever. And I include park football and five-a-sides in that. And that stupid fucking head on him? Geebag.

He's doing a little better under his favourite coach, Rudi Garcia, but is still incredibly erratic and not on the same page as his teammates. I dont think he himself knows what he's going to do, so how they are supposed to is another question. In Italy the game is so tactical that his unpredictability is possibly his only asset. Totti paid him a backhanded compliment recently saying he would be a great player if only he scored goals  (he has scored a few....Garcia does bring out the best in him, not that I think the best is exactly good).

I was amazed (shouldnt have been) that Wenger paid £11 m for him, rather than £9m more for Hazard, who was obviously the real deal. He wasnt a panic buy either. Wenger really rated him. Until he started playing for us.
He's in a long line of African players who think the game is about dribbling and ball skills but couldn't hit a barn door.
Drogba is really the exception (there have been a few others) as an outstanding goalscorer.
Reminds me, I once saw a south african game that went to pens and the first 10 were all missed
