Re: Man Utd (H) Wednesday 12th February
whilst the comparison stats are a bit OTT, surely what it does highlight is how tough the fixtures we have coming up between now and the end of next month.
it will be very difficult to match Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool over this period so ideally we would have needed at least a 5 point lead at this stage to have hopes of winning the league - we havent and thats why ultimately we will fall short again.
one of the problems of this upcoming period is that we have proved time and time again this season that we just can't compete in the big matches

arseblog reckons we dont have to win tonight

"It’s a similar situation to the one we faced when Chelsea came to visit after the 6-3 at the Middle Eastlands. The single most important thing that night was to ensure we didn’t get beaten, and although the poverty stricken horsemen dropped points against West Brom last night, and it does provide us a chance to go top again, I don’t think it’s absolutely vital that we win tonight"
This is a manure team that have lost at home to baggies, everton, geordies, the scum and swansea and have drawn at home v bottom of the table fulham but yet we are supposed to be ok with drawing against them, on our own patch, with a chance to go top again on the line ?
Seriously ?? Hardly the mentality of a team intent on winning honours again but of course totally befitting a club that has waved the white flag a long time ago and are happy to finish behind the other big clubs

As it seems to be a stats day
Arsenal have kept 10 clean sheets in the last 11 at home.
Arsenal won one of last 10 pl games v manure.
manure kept 2 clean sheets in last 15 away.
What it means to tonights game I don't have a fuckin clue

Arseblogger makes a good living writing about the club, he doesn't make a good living writing negatively about the club.
He's not going to bite the hand that feeds him, shame really as I used to like reading it but gave up on him a long time ago.

Conceding 8 at United, 6 at City and 5 going on 15 the other day is totally unacceptable and wouldn’t be tolerated in any other club in the world bar Arsene FC.
It’s about time that the players and manger grew a pair, manned the f up and put the worst united team in living memory to the sword. They are absolute toilet but if we get the same limp fisted, tippy tappy approach that we normally do when facing the big guns we will be beaten again tonight and the spiral of failure that engulfs the club will ever widen.
COME ON YOU GUNNERS
THIS!

If we don't rape these fuckers tonight...then wenger needs to be lynched TWICE!

Just rip the crunts a new one - Ozil ! WAKE UP You feckin' Prima donna..Wilshere - stop giving the ball away STOP! Falling over Aaaaand PASS The Feckin' Ball!

ps; We need rosicky to start - use his guile and determination to wake the rest of the players up!
They'll try and take out Giroud early on to destroy our chances of striking at goal.
Kos and shrek will clash at some point - so hopefully ole potato bonce will get red carded !

Re: Man Utd (H) Wednesday 12th February
This has 1-1 written all over it, both clueless managers can then take some comfort in the result.
If I had to pick one team to nick it then it would be utd.

Re: Man Utd (H) Wednesday 12th February
Under the circumstances, anything less than a win tonight surely has to be seen as unacceptable.
I think we will get a reaction tonight though and that the extra effort and quicker tempo that I’m expecting to see will be enough to win the game. It’ll probably be similar on Sunday too as we’re facing the team that thrashed us. But I’m not convinced that reaction will last much longer than the next 2 games so I doubt it will be too long before another ‘’accident’’ happens.

Re: Man Utd (H) Wednesday 12th February
It's a watershed moment, United defence has not been as vulnerable for years.
Win and it not only puts United in deeper trouble, but it increases pressure on the Chavs and City.
Look at City, I had an inkling the Chelsea defeat would give them a wobble, and it did at Norwich.
Respect to Saints but at 2-1 up with momentum in our favour we should have won at St Marys.
Subsequent results meant we got away with it, if we lose to United I doubt we will get a better chance to put down a marker.
Pressure is whats its all about from here on in, we need to excert some tonight.

I confidently predict a brace from Sanogo.
