Giroud's a cheat?

Sell him in the summer and buy two forwards, one being world class

Won't happen will it, the only thing that will happen is that he will get a new improved contract to offset the fine

Theo will be fit again by then and that will be "like a new signing",

Whilst the idea of being told when you can and can't get your end away may be abhorrent to us mere mortals, the reality is that modern-day conditioning and match preparation is heavily reliant on sports science and rest/sleep in the 24 hours before a game is a key part of that. As silly as it sounds to us it can make a difference on the pitch, especially for a player who can't coast by on natural ability and has such a heavy burden.

PL footballers lead exceptionally privileged lives with relatively modest and largely necessary restrictions on their lifestyle, so when somebody brazenly flouts the club's rules like this I think they are taking the piss.
So are you saying he should have knocked one out then?
Imagine that's banned too (as if it's humanly possible to adhere to that - if somebody told me I wasn't allowed to ***** on an aeroplane for example I would be 100 times more likely to do so). Could have just asked for a picture of her gash or something mind, wouldn't have got caught that way

Just how thick and stupid are footballers?? Did he think this was going to end up anywhere but the papers?? These whores are out every weekend looking to bag a footballer or pop star so they can go straight to a paper and earn £20k or more?? Seriously, I wonder if some of the footballers these days could actually look after themselves if they didn't have their club doing it for them?? :banghead:

Wonga won't punish Giroud........after all......Wonga has done the same thing himself!! :rubchin:

So are you telling me that if you are earning 60+k per week, you wouldn't sacrifice some of it to tap that ?? Surely when you earn as much as he does, giving up a weeks wages to shag that would be classed as a good investment

If I'd earn that much, I would definitely shag her. Nice and warm memories and all that...

If you were well known and wealthy surely you'd want and be able to pick up someone a bit better than that Claire Sweeney lookalike? :rubchin: :rubchin:

Couldn't really give a monkeys what Giroud does in his own time.......but if it is affecting his performance on the pitch and our chances of winning trophies then he needs to be dropped.

After all following another successful transfer window its not like we don't we don't have plenty of quality alternatives is it ?

Agreed. Although I cant say there's been a noticable drop in his form since it happened to be honest. He was already in poor form, be that through fatigue or otherwise. The one thing I would say is that rightly or wrongly, the club (his manager) put a lot (too much) faith in him by not buying in better, both last summer and in January. If his response is to stop taking his professional duties seriously enough I'd have a slight concern he's lost sight of just how lucky he is to be first-choice striker for a club like ours. Wouldn't go overboard slating him but I'd hope he's been given a reality check and a kick up the backside by someone.

As to whether or not it is unprofessional it was said that George Best claimed to have played his best football after being "roused from the pit!"
But as has been said by Northbank123, these days sports science does play a big part in things and if he was taking to the field against Palace after four hours sleep then I think that has to negatively affect his performance.

What I do know I that he is not the only player in our current squad to have sneaked a woman into the team hotel the night before a game but the other player I know about was not caught.

Either you tell us who it was and how you know, or the only logical conclusion we can all draw is that you were the "woman" in question!

Was it Zelalem?

At least he's scoring off the pitch.
