As above, we will never, ever win a trophy under this old *word censored* again.

What a disappointment. I didn't agree with the tone on here in the first 45. I thought we were excellent - Wenger has had enough opportunities to learn how to set up this sort of game but it was right tonight. Instead of sitting stupidly deep we started a break-neck speed which we maintained whenever we got the ball in a decent area, but were very quick to get bodies back when we were out of possession. It will always be a case of 'what if' for the penalty (or maybe why as in why the fuck do we let someone who takes pens like that take it?).

Monreal faced an incredible task when he came on but he is not only severely lacking in talent but he's also like a rabbit in the headlights. Szczesny was light-years away from getting to the ball first and must have realised that at some point but made no effort to pull out, he was playing well and has had a brilliant season but the way he charges off his line with for every through ball is still a worry.

The second half was such a disappointment because we had ten minutes plus the half time break to formulate a plan. And we came up with nothing. We could have played for centuries and we wouldn't have gotten close to scoring, we were obviously going to struggle but we were just waiting for them to score. It was painfully obvious the whole Ozil/Monreal axis was a weak link. There were a few alarming occasions when Ozil was facing the man up and instead of covering the overlapping runner Monreal just stood directly behind Ozil. He is just not good enough.

I thought Flamini was superb and we also saw a different Jack Wilshere tonight. Fair play to Sanogo, he is never going to make it as long as I've got a hole in my arse but he put himself about and as a decoy/hassle does more than Giroud's recent sluggish performances have, for somebody who has played as little football as he has at the level he has he did really well to get through most of Sunday and 90 minutes today with that sort of work rate.

Augie got panned for expressing a similar sentiment before the match but tbh although it was disappointing to see the second go in I think it might work out well for us. Surely Wenger cannot justify playing the ressies against Everton with the tie over already?

just back from watching game at pub. Thought that was the best start we've made to game in a long time. Looked organised and attacked with pace-both teams created some chances-just a shame we missed the pen.

Once Shez was sent off they controlled the game completely-not surprising really.

Another major turning point was Gibbs getting injured (also not surprising). Not only did it further limit our sub options but most importantly Bayern recognised Monreal as a weak link and looked to attack as much as possible down that side. His positioning was poor on several occasions, including ball in that led to conceding the pen and thus changing the game.

Good effort from the lads I thought but almost impossible task with 10 men-just a shame we conceded the 2nd near the end to kill the tie (tho may bode well for FA cup line-up but prob not)

To be fair we'd be wasting our time progressing in the CL so may as well throw up the hands in the return and focus on the league. Just being pragmatic.

Sadly this is why he's still in charge, for every person on here who wants the senile deluded inept :censored: to fuck right off, there are 50 who will ***** over his every word.I'd love to hear his explanation for keeping Ozil on and taking our only real pace off,if you need a goal surely you go long ball and put Ox up front for the last 10 and play the percentage game???

I saw that too in real time and was convinced it's just sweat dripping, he wouldn't be that stupid.

Anyway undone by the re. Kos out of position for the 2nd goal, so BFG ha to move across to stop Pizarro but then left space for Muller to run into.

The blame lies with the f**king sh*te free kick moments before. Everytime we got a chance to go forward, the pass was sh*te but sucked one or 2 of our 4-4 wall out of position and they capitalize on it.

I can't really blame anyone for that. We all expected to lose so why all the BS. I can't stand heroic failure in fact I'm sick of it but like most wanted the tie is now out of reach so hopefully bring on the first team for the FA cup QF against Everton.

Ches was naïve but the pass was brilliant WTF was he suppose to do admire Robben as he scores. Hopefully that's the kind of sh*t he'll learn with age.

Everybody else that played was blameless, we were just overrun by a good team, but the way the Postie caused panic in their defence early doors, God help them if they draw PSG and Zlatan :box: :box:

Apart from being baffled at the team selection and struck dumb by the last substitution i thought the team battled very hard bar Ozil .

You cant fault anyone for the first and it was just exhaustion on the second !

How sonagol got the nod in front of podolski thought is beyond any reason !

Thought we done great up until the sending off and match was 50/50.

Didn't think Chesney should have been sent off coz I don't think Robben would have got to the ball. It was a def peno tho.

Think Wenger bottled it with the sub. He was afraid to take off Ozil. He is a luxury player that when ur up against it and need people to put in a shift u don't call on him u take him off.

Sanogo played well but is clearly not match fit but Wenger gives him 90 mins x2 in space of 3 days

Think Nacho isn't good enough. If Gibbs is out for a few games I'd play Jenko at RB and Sagna at LB.

Podolski :?

I know there's probably a bit of confusion but the Arsene bashing thread is here viewtopic.php?f=1&t=34817 and anyone that calls me an AKB can kiss my seriously well sculpted derriere.

Praise the team, slag the team, have a go at the ref or whatever but leave the Arsene sh*t to another f**king thread, the sh*ts getting f**king old, EVERY F**KING THREAD HI-F**KING-JACKED

What is it with Podolski? The French bloke plays a young bloke that's been injured for 6 months and only played one full game for us in front of a German international in a game like this.
You can count podolskis full games on one hand. Someone please enlighten me.

Right then boys, no more mention of the manager on this match thread and that extends to team selection, tactics, substitutions and players he did/didn't sign.
