The Graham Hick of football

Good to see us rack up a decent score for once. Palace, Cardiff and Fulham were like being 150-2 in 100 overs on a slow, low surface in Chittagong

Liverpool was like 1976 at the Oval against Michael Holding! I go back that far. We will make them grovel.

Jack looks like he's back to his best. I'm glad. Was really concerned.

He was excellent today, and to be fair I thought he was very good against Bayern too, despite me not wanting him to start on Wednesday. Much more disciplined positionally and discerning with his use of the ball - bar that stupid free-kick that led to their second goal. There's been gradual signs over the last few weeks/months (think it was Cardiff at new year when he had a great game) that he's slowly getting back toward his old self. Nothing amazing, just a few kernels of golden sweetcorn mixed in amongst the turgid jobbies. I have no doubt he'll come good. Will be interesting to see how/where he fits in when Ramsey eventually makes it back (sometime next season).

That first half was excellent.

We play so much better without Ozil.........;-)

Is it a coincidence we play some of our best football when BOTH Giroud AND Podolski play together. I fully expect Pod to be dropped for Ozil against Stoke :banghead:

Eh ?? I thought that you said that wakemeup was better than giroud who is fcuking shit ?? :? :?
I stand by that comment.
A wenker masterstroke eh ?
Replace your top scorer, who is an experienced international player with an untried, untested, ex postman.

Or how about getting other players in and around Giroud, so that he is not isolated, surrounded by 3 /4 defenders, with no-one to lay the ball off to.

Play with tempo and be direct and we cause teams problems, play sideways at snails pace and we are easy to defend against - It really isn't hard is it.

I think wenker would like to rest a few players tomorrow but there has been such a negative tail spin post Bayern that I think that he will be afraid to do so. I expect giroud and podolski to start instead of wakemeup and ozil and he might possibly "rest" ox and start rosicky but that's about it imo although it wouldn't be the team that I would go with

As predictions go, that was pretty damn good even if I say so myself 8) :barscarf:

Now if I could only bring that skill into my lotto numbers selection :rubchin:  :banghead: :banghead:

That's the kind of selectively favourable assessment of Giroud that you'll only find on here as a Wenger-beating stick

Possibly :D I don't think Giroud is awful, but he misses too many chances to be top top quality, but he is effective as a hold up - lay off player but needs to have someone alongside or midfield runners to support him.

Both yesterday's Rosicky goal and Jack's v Norwich had Giroud laying off the final killer pass - he must be our top assister by now as well as top scorer, so he is doing some good work but as a team with title / trophy ambitions we could find a better option.

He is infuriating as he misses many simple chances then comes up with a lovely touch to put someone through.

Pleased for Giroud, the talk of the inexperienced Sanogo suddenly displacing him after a 2 game (albeit decent) showing was somewhat embarrassing.

Sanogo offers more mobility than Giroud but isn't going to suddenly walk into the team ahead of him. The loverat remains first pick until Wenger buys someone who is a considerable upgrade 8)

Hansen was bursting out of the traps after MOTD showed our game to say we cannot win league , because we conceded six at City and five at Anfield....we all know we are unlikely to win the title...but why does that :censored: always have to be so right and pompous ?...By the way Hansen 1997 Utd lost 5-0 and 6-3 in consecutive away games and yet won the league...so fuck off you cretin.
Good bounce back performance yesterday and the third goal was a thing of beauty..Injury worries only issue from the game.

I think they will be and we should put a good old 4-1 on them.

And I popped €2 on the 4-1 with Giroud first goal @ 55/1. Sweet. :barscarf: 8)
