I haven't seen anywhere near enough of Campbell to see if he is good enough and I doubt anybody has (and un any case it's a different ask to produce it at PL level to a tinpot league).

But we might as well give him a chance next year or cut him loose. Unfortunately Wenger clearly rates Sanogo and given he's barely played because of injury we'll definitely have to endure far more of him before Wenger accepts he's not good enough.

Based on what exactly? He looks a good prospect but until we've seen him prosper over a season in the Premier League I reckon it's a bit early to say he's our best striker.

A bit weird that we put him out on loan in the summer then bought a month later Agonos who had been playing in a lower league than him, bearing in mind Campbell can play and wants to play CF too.

So now we have Campbell, pod, Feo and Gnabry who all want to play CF and are pushed out wide....but a ligue deux CF is chosen ahead of them.

No but I read a lot on the interweb, and i also watch the ESPN around the leagues on Wednesday nights if i can.

Betis tried to buy him last summer but couldn't match his salary, then they tried to get him back on loan in June so he must of done well, and I do remember the UK press stories on him.

France Football is always a good source of info on Spain, Italy & Germany - a shame we don't have something similar at home. Our journos are mostly ignorant about other leagues..

ESPN had a great piece btw on Pep changing Lahm from CB to CM- including a play by play of how he ran the game against us and passed around our two.

Lorient - i have no idea . Nice place, good windsurfing and nice cafes is all I know, but he went from there to La Liga so again the kid must of done well for Betis to pick him up from Ligue Deux.

He was playing in Ligue 1 with Lorient. Even scored against the eventual champions (Montpellier).

What I like about him is that he seems a big game player and has an air of confidence about him. Exciting prospect. Watch him score at Old Shatford next week.
