Yet again Podolski loses the ball and we concede a goal. His positional sense, in attack and defence, is abysmal. He seems like a decent bloke, he can shoot and I really wanted him to do well, but I think it's time for him to move on.

had chance to spread it wider quicker but too bunched in middle and we're not quick enough

No. In midfield you don't get time on the ball. He had it under control but didn't seem to even consider that somebody might challenge him from behind. He does it too often.
