As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
All things considered (i.e we were all expecting a brownholing), I'm pleased with the result. We actually showed some fight and desire to win today - most notably Flamini, Rosicky, Gibbs and The Ox (for the 10mins he was on...).
Only real negative for me - Giroud was complete and utter shite all game, although I think I could have predicted that to be honest.
Maybe not in the grand scheme of things, but now we're officially looking to defend the 4th Place Trophy that point will keep us at least one ahead of Everton now even if they win up there.
Very meh about the result and performance tbh - I said early in the game that it seemed that citeeh switched off after scoring and that is exactly what happened. I know some say that we battled hard and to a point I will agree, but at the end of the day citeeh seemed to be in 2nd gear and still we never looked like beating them. Given where we are in the league and considering my feelings on top 4 trophy, I would consider the result as doing more harm than good tbh - in the grand scheme of things all todays result does is solidify le cocks position at the club
Don't think you can fault the team today and the crowd really got behind them after the equaliser. City bringing on 3 defensive players handed the initiative to us but we lacked enough quality up front as usual. Giroud is mostly shite.

fuck me Augie mate you are one miserable fucker
Have a good weekend though and get some alcohol inside of yer
In the grand scheme of things in our fight for 4th place we gained 2 points out of 9 this week.We have won just one league game in our last 5.We are like a car that has run out of petrol.City wont will the title if Aguero doesnt come back quickly
We have gained 5 points out of 18 v the top 3.Our poor record v the top teams continues
Giroud is fucking shite he really is Lee Chapman's bastard son
It is just ridiculous.
The AKBs see that point as some sort of victory.
Their argument is that because our team has injury problems then that was a good point.
However the injuries are surely because Wenger just hasn't bought enough quality to get us over the line???
How do Liverpool cope? They are a club with ambition.

Giroud is getting worse if that was at all possible, he wouldn't get a game at west ham tbh.
I and most of the people I sat with thought Giroud had an ok game today. How many of the people making comments on here actually went to the game today?
The service he had was minimal and he held the ball up fairly well and won a lot of balls in the air.
No one from midfield ran ahead of him, so he was often isolated.
He is not a shit striker, but he doesn't suit Arsenal's style either.
Wenger should rightly be getting the stick for not buying a striker in the Summer.
If Giroud had a chance to be rested whose to say he wouldn't look a lot sharper than he does currently.

Well you must have watched a different game to me mate, giroud was beaten in the air on most occasions and he has so little pace that when he had a one two in the 2nd half on the edge of the area he took the shot early because he didn't want to take on a static kompany. He, as usual dragged the limp shot very wide
I am one of the posters that gave him time to settle but now it is clear that he is not good enough but worse than that he seems disinterested.
