That's the thing though, the ref felt the need to even things out because he knew if he didn't he would be taken apart in the press for weeks and that if it ultimately cost Liverpool people would go on about it for years. Much easier for him to just give a soft penalty and this is shown by the fact there would be 3 times as much debate and outrage if he had just made the 1 mistake and it had ended 1-1.

Some of you guys really would be better of at Untold Arsenal, where conspiracy theories are a part of their staple diet!! Perhaps the fact that Liverpool players actually get into the opponents penalty area is a reason why they get more than we do?
