If he cut out the ehining and histrionics he would be given a lot of slack for having gone backwards. But as it is he should be a bench warmer for us or be a big fish for a mid table side. Englands and arsenals future cannot be built around him as pysically, mentally and brain wise he's not good enough I'm afraid to be a starter for a club of our supposed aspirations.
I agree Jack hasn't been at his best for some time now - But think part of that is down to his long term injury - and as yet he hasn't fully recovered physically and psychologically - It took Ramsey quite a while - admittedly his was a worse injury - But, any injury that keeps a player off the pitch - can be a real challenge.
I think he still has great potential - he definitely has the skills, but as to not knowing what he's supposed to be' is most likely down to wenger, who seems to give the players a lot of freedom in their postions - which is also part of Arsenal's strength, in that opposition often find it difficult to mark the players - as they don't adhere to the more recognised format of positional play etc
I am hoping he can sort himself out and become the excellent player we all think/thought he might be.
also: I think a parallel can be drawn between how huge responsibilty was placed on his shoulders when he began playing for England - seen as the future of the team - and whehn Walcott was taken to the WC by that wanker ericksson(sp?) far too soon...the fact he was taken and not used/played was NOT good for his self confidence etc...
ps: Have we signed anyone yet?
