Have to agree with IHH et al, this is only marginally more interesting than predicting who will win the league cup :D

I vote 9.

The only iffy game is Everton but you have to take into account our players will be fresh and (hopefully injury free) as the season will just have kicked off - albeit we have to play Besiktas four days prior to Everton. Still, I think our squad at virtually full strength - minus Walcott and assuming our Germans play - will be enough.

Same here 9, say we are top of the league. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Good time to play both Palace and Everton, we are on a roll, confidence high no time for the handbrake to be on yet, Leicester should be easy. Didnt we loose 3-0 at Toffees last season though

Result is void, it was an early kick off - those losses don't count for us.

no I won't be doing those :D

the high response rate to this thread actually shows that it is not pointless.
the purpose of the thread is that these 3 games are 3 very interesting stand alone fixtures pre transfer deadline day, before a 2 week international break, first 3 games of the season etc.
it also gives an insight into how optimistic/pessimistic this board is ahead of the new season.

It appears at the moment as though nearly half of the people on here are wildly optimistic ahead of the new season.
I guess that is a good thing - lets hope the team can back that up with results :barscarf:

Please tell me that was deliberate. :rubchin:  I didn't say they were 'pointless', just that I hated them as they were as much guess work and/or wishful thinking as the horoscopes. And the fact a thread has had many views/comments doesn't necessarily mean it is a good one - McDowell's transfer speculation being the obvious example!!

2 wins and 1 draw.

Completely pointless opinion.

7 from me. I think people are underestimating Everton here - very solid side who took us apart in March (and outplayed us in the league game in December)

A draw there would be a good result.

Of course, Augie will have us losing all three by large scorelines

Actually I had us winning all 3 - must be coming down with something
Clearly you're not feeling yourself mate

On the good side though, if you were "feeling yourself" we'd probably all have to start calling you REB.
