I can't talk for every single evertonian obviously, but if any of you guys see what I see of them then you'd dislike the club like I do.
Must be the proximity to the North-West of England. South Wales is full of plastic Liverpool and United fans (who also 'support' Cardiff or Swansea when they're doing well) but no Everton fans. I've checked everywhere, not one.
Exactly like that here, Man Utd then Liverpool were the most supported teams but when Swansea came up the majority of them suddenly found there love for Swansea

When Swansea got promoted to the PL they actually had to formally request that their fans didn't wear opposition shirts as so many people used to turn up to their games wearing Liverpool or United shirts

I've only been once, in 99. We won what was a relatively uneventful game (aside from Petit getting sent off meaning he would miss the semi against the Mancs) 2-0, I think Overmars got one.

What was memorable was that as the game drifted towards its end a girl in the Everton end who had an unhealthy liking for fake tan and bleach in her hair was spotted by someone and slowly the chant 'fake tan, fake hair' went up until everyone in the away end was singing it and pointing at her - That turned into 'Does your sunbed know you're here' literally everyone pointing at her.

She got up with the hump and grabbed her boyfriends hands in an attempt to get him to leave, but he stayed put and she stormed off up the stairs on her own, fantastic stuff.

went there back end of the 83 season, half empty ground, think we won 2-1. was not a nice place to get out of after a positive result, not helped by the fact that my brother parked right in front of the gladys street end and we were proper shitting ourselves when a gang of scousers were sniffing around it after the match.

Brilliant. 8)

That's why impromptu chanting/singing/slating the oppo will always piss on the European coreograhped chanting and rubbish like megaphones  etc.

I remember a home game against Derby in 2000 and a pillock in the CE Lower right down beside where we were in the last row of the West Lower, kept roaring abuse and wanting to fight the whole West stand. Had the missus over for a game with me and a couple mates and she (usually a quiet composed lady) stood up and yelled "sit down no mates" at the pillock. Next thing that whole part of the West Lower were singing "Sit down no mates!" and pointing at said pillock. Even his fellow Derby fans were laughing.

Have to say though I didn't thank the missus because I spent the rest of the game with my hand shielding the right side of my face, expecting a coin in the eye! :-P

Actually, if beer destroyed memory serves, she might have yelled out "Fuck off no mates"... :rubchin:

When that twat from Pompey got kicked out of Highbury for ignoring the stewards who asked him to stop ringing his poxy bell, he was escorted out in front of the Clock End who gave him a chorus of

'you're not ringing anymore'

Been there loads of times, sounds like a bit of a cliche nowadays, but is a proper old school football ground.

I do like the atmosphere, they give their team a good backing.

Seen a bit of everything up there really, some great wins, draws, and a few batterings.

One match that sticks in my mind is in Feb 02, an absolute steaming turd of a match, with the quality of the winning goal by Wiltord to match :

Literally the only chance in the whole game, but a vital three points in waht turned into a legendary season.
