But why not go public at the time ? When tan sacked McKay he was being lambasted by all and sundry (not just Cardiff fans ) so if he had this "dirt" on McKay he would have used it at that time. Tan is being a vindictive c*nt who hasn't been satisfied with sacking McKay and the former ceo, and he has been searching for ways to stick the boot in further - it just happened that the two stupid cnuts gave him all the ammo he needed.
Btw the person who leaked this story was either tan or somebody close to him

My theory, because I do not know all the facts as the papers will not have the full story, but my theory is that Tan knew what MacKay was like, but he did not have the hard evidence on paper.
He also thought that he would keep this side of things in house (an awful lot of dirt in football and showbusiness is kept in house, the papers do not get everything), show a bit of mercy to a man he had sacked.
The texts and emails subsequently came to light when the lawyers went through them and computers were investigated.
Tan and MacKay continued their mutual dislike though, and as legal action or at least the threat of it rumbled on, Tan thought "To hell with this, I will dish the dirt on MacKay".

It is also possible that men of MacKay and Moody's apparent arrogance had made other enemies in the game who saw a chance to get revenge?

Just my theory though.

Over what he considered Mackay's bad use of the transfer budget, NOT over the alleged racist nature of the man. :banghead: :banghead:

Funny how Mackay has been in the game for 20 odd years as a player and manager - including playing with/against and managing black players - but has never been accused of being a racist, yet somehow Tan picked it up within a few months and, rather than call him out on it, chose to use his poor spending as the stick to beat him with whilst at the same time allowing the media to tear Tan and his character to bits over his decisions to criticise Mackay . :rubchin: :rubchin: Like I said previously, if you genuinely believe that, then you are giving Tan way too much credit.

Couple of ill advised texts that have bitten him on the arse, end of. I don't believe the guys a racist or biggot, tbh I hate this PC state were living in. Personally I don't give a fuck what people say, its not what's said but the sentiment behind it. The minute anything like this comes out they're automatically branded a racist by the PC brigade, get over it ffs :banghead:
Is it really that hard to live in this environment? :?

Surely England today is a million times better than it was 20, 30, 40, 50yrs+ ago, so surely we're heading in the right directon?

I think it's wonderful that people fall over themselves to not offend others, and it's great that bigots are exposed and people have to be careful what they say. Yes, sometimes there's an overreaction and people get it wrong but I'd rather that than have minority groups being abused and ridiculed with impunity.

It would be an interesting experiment (if it were possible) to make us all take a "quantum leap" back incrementally through periods of history in the body of a woman (yes please :D ), homosexual, black person, etc. and compare how they were treated then and now. I'd be surprised if many thought England had taken a step backwards.

The only people whose lives has been made more difficult are bigots as they simply can't say or do what they really want to... so thank you to the PC brigade for making their lives more difficult! :barscarf:

I personally have no problems living in this "PC state" but if you really do hate it, there's a shed load of other countries you can go to and abuse minorites and probably get a high five from someone (just like the good ol' days) - by the way, this paragraph was more for my own amusement as the "if you don't like it, fuck off and support Chelsea" argument is always good for an eye roll or a groan from everyone else :D

I don't know the man but saying not too many white faces there is a racist comment.
Likewise the sexist and Gay reference but isn't the worst I've heard and was sent to a close colleague, as is the various references to cuff links, the Jewish "joke" is in piss poor taste but again was between him and his close mate !

Him sending a Black monopoly board to colleagues with go to jail on every square however is deeply offensive so fuck him !

You can bang your head all you like but just because MacKay had not been publicly chastised over his views does not mean he had not held them or made comments.
Rolph Harris did his crimes for years but it was only recently that he got publicly known for it.

Perhaps this is all about Money - Mackay was claiming he was owed money for being sacked - And Tan - and let's honest No-One gets to be a very wealthy business man without getting their hands dirty at some point in their rise to to being Stinko - So he had heard things about mackay and rather than give him the money - had him investigated and Hey! Presto"...This is a tactic used all the time by Governments in every country - They get the dirt on someone and that someone gets hung out to dry, and so sometimes ends up ruined, in gaol or even dead....

NOT saying this is what did happen...But I think - besides the fact that Mackay has been proven to be a racist bigot - there is a lot more to this than meets the eye.

It's not just who you know...But more importantly it's what you know about whom you know. Information = Power.

Just after watching the palace capitulation v the shammers on Saturday, it leads me to ask......would these palace fans accept Mackay as manager if he was appointed today ? Let me ask another question....if old ferguscum had of recently been found to have sent those texts, would they welcome him at palace as manager ? :rubchin:
Of course they would be small groups of fans outraged at the possibility of a manager like that being appointed (and understandably so), but at the same time footie fans are extremely fickle and I think that most would welcome any manager in the morning if they felt that the guy would give them a good chance of avoiding relegation

Hang on, all this stuff about 'PC society' laying into him because of his fame and him supposedly being scapegoated is crap.

Imagine your average workplace. A member of management staff who has massive discretion over the employee's working lives - hours, conditions, promotions and decisions on contracts - is found to have made racist remarks which potentially prejudice multiple sub-servient employees, including specifically naming one. Imagine that those employees are trade union members, and the trade union found out about these remarks. What would happen? If the employer didn't take transparent disciplinary action it's an obvious actionable discrimination law breach (that the union would act on) and realistically anything less than a sacking for gross misconduct would cause a bit of a shitstorm.

I'm not saying that's why he got sacked, I'm not saying that they weren't stupid mistakes that don't reflect him as a person. What I am saying is that Joe Average would be in serious potentially life-changing shit if they got caught in similar circumstances.

In this case I'm firmly in the 'PC' camp. A lot of us say things in the privacy of our own home in jest which we wouldn't say in company or share the odd joke with close mates which plays on a stereotype but a) you don't write it down and b) it's something completely different when you use real world examples and abuse specific individuals.

Frankly I think it should be a long time before Mackay gets another job in football, imagine if you were a black player playing under him. Wouldn't be full of respect would you?

You're going to say that Les Dawson and Jim Davidson were funny next and in no way a pair of racist assholes :-)

Wow!!!  It just goes to show how weak your 'theory' is for your to pull that one out, rather than actually examine the evidence that was made public when this first blew up - and there is plenty of it. My head banging is in relation to the fact that unusually for you, there seems a reluctance to look at what has been said on the record by Tan himself, and to acknowledge how more beneficial it would have been for him to act on any racist claims at the time rather than long after he sacked Mackay (and while compensation was being fought over). Perhaps money means more to Mr Tan then upholding principals. :rubchin: It's not enough for you to suggest that 'because we don't know everything, we don't really know anything' - while at the same time being prepared to make your own hypothesis based on literally nothing but 'gut feeling'!!

For the record, I don't know whether Mackay is genuinely a racist or not. I doubt it, but don't know for sure. What I am disputing is the theory that Tan knew he was yet decided to keep it to himself and put up with all the vilification before deciding to finally sack Mackay using the excuse of his poor transfer spending, a matter that most would consider less serious.

What I am saying IHH is that the original reason MacKay was sacked felt odd to me at the time.
Was Tan really shocked at the transfer bill?
As if somehow it was presented to him on a silver platter after a load of deals had been done but that Tan had no idea his money was being "overspent" whilst the deals were being made?
If Tan had set a budget, then who authorised the deals to actually go through, the payments to be sent?
Was Mackay authorised to take money out of the club's account for transfers?
Or Moody?
Without telling Tan that millions were being spent?

It is just my theory and I have read the same papers you have, seen the reasons given as "overspending" but I have smelled a rat, you have not.
Just a theory though, as I have said all along.

I care nothing for Cardiff ,it's owner, or their former manager who I'd never heard of until they came up .
I care nothing for their internal problems then or now and the fact that their former manager is a racist twat leaves me pretty cold too as there are more than a few of them in football .
I'm sure he can go back to Scotland and manage some team of sour faced belligerents !
