Fuk the money. Fuk the fukin money ffs! Bastard money. Fuk it.
Oh yeah I forgot how we have to choose between being an AKB or not being allowed to comment on the financial aspect of any deal :rubchin:
WOW! You got that from my post above? Are you a mind reader? :rubchin:

Do you think a total outlay of £40-odd mil for one season is acceptable? I want Wenger gone, but as he isn't I don't want him to piss money down the drain on daft deals like this.

Looks off anyway.

Your post which suggests that Wenger is the reason why people are debating the financial merits of spending £30-40m for a one-season loan? Yes.

No, not for that price for a season loan.

Looks like he is off to Madrid anyway. We definitely need a signing though, would use any money to go for Reus or Benzema if he is now available but not going to get my hopes up that we'll get anyone decent in.

Is he worth it? Are there other strikers that will give as good as service?

No and Yes.

You cant get away from it, you do have to have some financial responsibility, he wont get that sort of money back for us either in trophys won or shirts sold, neither will he alone win us a trophy IMHO.

No.
I was merely having a bit of a rant at how the money side of supporting the Arsenal has taken precedence over the actual footballing side with our support. (Probably not in the spirit of the thread I accept) Whether it be Wenger supporters defending him for not spending cause of the move to the Emirates and the Chelsea/ City new money. Or the WOBs castigating him for not spending (among other things)I blame Wenger 100% for that with his lies and spin that some of our support lap up.

I havent called Wenger supporters AKBs in a long time btw. They seem to get offended by it. I prefer the term Wenger supporters. Dont know why you mentioned AKBs when quoting me?

Really? His sponsor posted on twitter that he's joining Madrid before they also deleted the tweet. Dun tell me that tweet is also photoshopped?

No.

Because at that extraordinary money for one season, I reckon it will stop us buying a centre back and defensive midfielder too.

I do not think a striker alone will win us the title, we need more than that, in the spine of the team.

I would go for Remy.
