Because at that extraordinary money for one season, I reckon it will stop us buying a centre back and defensive midfielder too.

I do not think a striker alone will win us the title, we need more than that, in the spine of the team.

I would go for Remy.
We sign Remy Quartz and we still won't sign a centre back nor a defensive midfielder, our dear leader just can't see the need I'm afraid.

That isn't the answer and we all know it.....but paying 20m for someone who could have a breakdown after injury and who we then hand back after a year? Not sure that is the answer either.

Anyway, why are we fucking around with loans to start with? Wasn't this the year of the promised land when all the commercial deals kicked in to give us spending power like never before?

All week we were being told it was 20 mill for a years loan and now he signs for UTD for 6 mill for a season with an option to buy, that deal sounds a lot more attractive to anybody with half a brain,I may not have worked 30 years in the game but I do possess at least half a brain unlike our dear leader

If we had signed Falcao it would have "killed" Sanogo.

Striker shortage at Arsenal?
Posted at 15:44
So Arsenal fans, it is looking increasingly unlikely your team will be active in the remainder of the transfer window.
A disappointment? I spoke to former Gunner Nigel Winterburn over the weekend and he said fans would have been hoping to see a proven goalscorer come in, especially with Olivier Giroud out injured.
"Arsene Wenger has talked about all the players at his disposal who can fill that striker role, the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott and others. But there is not a player who can fill that role for a length of time," said Winterburn. "Arsenal supporters would like to see what they class as a true striker - one who is proven and has the ability to play that role on a regular basis.
"Radamel Falcao and Edinson Canvani have been linked - that is the sort of calibre you would be looking at."
