LEAGUE CUP THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

how can we feed the strikers if we don't control the midfield - same again as with Giroud isn't it - they get scraps and long balls up to them with no support to lay it off, turn and run inside.....

its bradford, blackburn, schalke, swansea, wigan and hull again isn't it ?

wonga learns nothing. :censored:
Yes, I guess you're spot on. Probably it wouldn't matter if we've had Messi and Ronaldo there, outcome would probably still be the same.

We are trying to walk the ball in and we begin this tippy tappy play once we get near their penalty area. We are like a cat circling around its prey without really going in to the kill.

Well back four wasn't so bad regarding what we had there, Diaby was shite, Wilshere tried, Rosicky making way too many mistakes, Sanchez class, Podolski invisible and I like him, but we have Stuart Macfarlane and David Price in his position.
Campell didn't impress.

Don't think it would've made any difference to the scoreline if we'd played our first eleven,
This team weren't bad (ok, maybe they were) or no worse than our first team. In fact they played just like them.
I don't think the winning goal could've been saved by anyone.

Saints have conceded 3 goals in all competitions. In the last round they played Taider,Cork,Wanyama, Ward-Prowse, Long,Pellegrini and Forster. We are going to play kids,Rosicky and Campbell.

A narrow 1-2 loss.

Shame as it's probably the only way Campbell is going to get a game barring an injury catastrophe or loan in January.
Said this would be the score line yesterday. F**ked off to be proved right yet again. That's the 4th exact score line, I've predicted for us this season and no money down :banghead:

Campbell and Sanogo are just as sh*te as each other, scary thing is at least you hear them talk about Sanogo. The only significant thing I got from the Radio commentary about Campbell was a bad dive.

One trophy down, one to go.

and you just know wonga will blame the young players - "wheel yeez, we were a little bit niaive and inexperienced..."

no we weren't you kant, we were managed by the same senile old sod that couldn't beat blackburn, schalke or bradford THREE YEARS AGO, and Hull and Wigan last year, dortmund and leicester this year.

on the plus side, i hope Koeman does well with them - loved him as a player, i'm a big admireer of the Dutch in General - KOEMAN in 2017 ! yes !
