Re: Previous Arsenal v Tiny totts (Highbury / Emirates)
What about December 2007? Almunia saves a penalty which would have put us 2-1 down and then Bendtner comes off the bench, walks into the box and heads in the winner.

Fastest goal by a substitute in the history of the world (possibly)Offside wrote:What about December 2007? Almunia saves a penalty which would have put us 2-1 down and then Bendtner comes off the bench, walks into the box and heads in the winner.

My first one was in 1982 (lost 1-3 to the fuckers) but thankfully it got a lot better in years to come
Dennis sliding through the rain......Freddie's deflected looping shot.......TH14 beating the fucking lot of em before running the length of the field and sliding on his knees in front of their distorted faces. That last memory is still the best of the lot !

First one was the 3-0 at Highbury in 2002 with Henry from the halfway line...absolutely tore them apart that day and we really should have had at least five (had two good goals disallowed that day as well).
Best...take your pick but probably 2-0 down, 5-2 up to start our comeback from 13 points behind them (which we were at 2-0 down) Watch this to remind of how especially deluded they were that day so that was magnificent satisfaction that day.

Worst was probably 2-0 up and 3-2 down. Absolutely horrible day and one of the all time lowest I've felt in the ground that day.

That first touch is genius...He reads it all in a millisecond...the flight and speed of the ball...the player trying to mark him (yeah right!
) ...He knows "Exactly" where the ball needs to be...so he puts it right there...moves like liquid and Bang! - That is pure Footy ***** Material Right There!
In years to come young / new born Gooners will watch that and sigh! and glow with pride!

Agree with all that, brilliant first touch. I was sat in the West Lower in that corner where Dennis celebrated.
Same match, 1996, two minutes earlier. Dennis's flick-up assist for TA's goal wasn't too shabby either.

I fucking ADORE Wrighty. I love the start of the clip where he's having a go at the one of the Scum players.
With the advent of TH14 etc he was often overlooked, but he's one of our greatest.

Amen. When you think how late he came into the pro game, then the (at times) quite average players he played with after joining us, it's amazing what he achieved. One of the best most naturally talented and skilfull strikers I've ever seen. Absolute legend.GranadaJoe wrote:I fucking ADORE Wrighty. I just wish he'd stay off the telly...
