The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

That's £20m to spend, and £25m back for Ozil.
:barscarf: :barscarf: We make a profit of £5m, :barscarf: :barscarf:
ok Stan you can invoice us another £5m for your 'advisory services'.

I love the way the article says "to boost title push" :D

We all know what happens in January - top four looking a good bet = "its impossible to find anyone who wants to sell in January"

Top four looking seriously at risk = "panic buy and bring someone in who can rescue the 4th place dream"

If you're going to post a link please at least say what it is about. Most of these stories are put there as clickbait. I would rather not give these awnkers any money. Better still, copy and paste the article with attribution.

Silvestre's contract with some Indian club expires Jan 1st, watch Wenger swoop (with about 30 minutes left in the window).
In December google 'defenders broken back', that should give a clue into who else arrives.

Don't worry fellas - the new financial firepower we have from the much lauded commercial deals looks like its going to solve our defensive crisis

Arsenal are also tracking the progress of Ipswich defender Tyrone Mings, 21, who was playing non-league football two years ago. (Sunday Express)

ONE ARSENE WENGER.....THERE'S ONLY ONE ARSENE WENGER

Arsenal have opened discussions over a £6.4m deal for 21-year-old Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Marcelo Brozovic. (Mail on Sunday)

Err...who? And unless he's 6' 3" can intelligently break up play and switch defence to attack in the blink of an eye, just save the money you useless *word censored*

Santos is playing in India now apparently. His quest to eat in every country in the World continues.

Please can somebody decent come. This seasons been a killer so far. At least we can buy in the rest of a squad to make a full team in the treatment room.

We need 2 CBs, 2DMs, a left back who doesn't get injured frequently all of whom play little heed to what AW says, so they will all need to be deaf 8)

For all the "bigging up" of le cock for discovering/nurturing young talent, it escapes all scrutiny that the same c.unt has signed some good players only to then destroy them :( Podolski and AA23 are the two main players that spring to mind as players who were genuinely talented, but fcuked about by le cock playing them out of position. Somewhere in the next 12-18 months we will be adding ozil's name to that list, but le cock will largely escape scrutiny again as fingers will be pointed at the players's like of work ethic/courage

Podolski, can I just say that I wished you had of joined us years ago and played in a system that would have suited you, and then maybe you would be a Gooner hero and not just because of your off-field loyalty to our cause

AAh yes, but you are forgetting Steve - Just because he is a mid-fielder and even if we do sign him - Wenker will play him on the wing anyway! :?

Agree absofuckinglutely 100%. 8)

And I know people say being played out of position is no excuse for lack of effort (and I agree to a certain extent) but that's very much closing the gate after the horse has bolted. These talented players should not be put in a position (literally and metaphorically) where they are demotivated and frustrated because their manager's ego dictates they play out of their best position just so they can be wedged into a "system".

It's fucking ridiculous. Would anyone have played Vieira as a winger? Arsene ruined AA23, he is in the process of ruining Pod, and as augie says, at some point in the next year or so we will all be sitting here lamenting the fact he ruined Ozil. :|

Podolski is likeable in the way that Wilshere is likeable. He seems to "get" the club, know our culture, hates the vermin, understands what the NLD means to real Arsenal fans. He's the closest thing we have to an old style "proper" Arsenal footballer like Parlour or Groves or TA6. A refreshing change from the arrogant, selfish, aloof, spoiled, multi-millionaire arseholes that are most modern players.
