surprised jensen knows about what goes on in the dressing room but it wouldn't surprise me. the fella is an arrogant sod just like most keepers are, I don't believe even our spineless defenders would have been happy about his antics last sunday.
Re: Goalkeeper problem
he talks a lot to Bouldy...on your say. Totally agreeHenry Norris 1913 wrote:surprised jensen knows about what goes on in the dressing room but it wouldn't surprise me. the fella is an arrogant sod just like most keepers are, I don't believe even our spineless defenders would have been happy about his antics last sunday.
Re: Goalkeeper problem
Would be amazed if le cock fined any player since he came to the club and I doubt very much that he will start doing so now
We all agree that Chesney is too gobby and arrogant, but to fine him for that ?? Why not fine sanchez for the missed penno v qpr or BFG for missing a header last week ? If the manager is unhappy with a player then drop the fcuker, but don't start fining them for individual fcuk ups cos the way this team plays, there would be a mountain of fines collected every week

Jensen also said he doesn't think Scez will play again this season. Hopefully it's true. Would love to know what went down in the dressing room.
Re: Goalkeeper problem
Ospina should play regardless. Lets see if we can keep some clean sheets now.
Re: Goalkeeper problem
It was probably the banner across his locker which said "Wenger Out"

Re: Goalkeeper problem
If the story is to be believed, the fine is not due to his two cock ups but the result of Szczesny acting up in the dressing room post game - if that is the case then the fine is entirely warranted.augie wrote:Would be amazed if le cock fined any player since he came to the club and I doubt very much that he will start doing so now![]()

Re: Goalkeeper problem
Could be an element of truth perhaps but I'm highly sceptical. I believe the Szczesny being an arrogant *word censored* bit, not the rest. First of all it strikes me as really weird that anybody would tell a player they're not playing for the next 25-30 games but apparently back in contention after that. Secondly although Wenger can certainly be petulant and would not stand for being questioned Szczesny is obviously a favourite of his and I couldn't envisage him tearing up the script like that. Thirdly I'm not brushed up on my socio-political ideological so I don't know whether a heavy fine would fit in with Wenger's socialist wage approach?
Here's to hoping it's true though. If Cloughie thought that 70s Polish keeper was a clown imagine what he would say about Szczesny? Would probably crack a whisky bottle over his head. An empty one of course.

Re: Goalkeeper problem
I've never really had much faith in Chesney and there are times you see him line up in the tunnel and he has that cocky arrogant grin on his face and you just know he is gonna throw at least one ball into his own net and gift the oppo a couple too. He is that oldest of GK cliches; a good shot stopper. But he is weak in too many other areas. I'd be happy enough to see us give Ospina a run of games tbh.
