Well, this could be flipped over to read that wenger listened to his player, and let them show him that they could be disciplined. That actually shows great leadership. How many times have the players let us down by showing no discipline in defence? How often is wenger seem kicking the water bottle in frustration due to his players letting him down? Nearly every game in the last 9 seasons.
I'm certainly not an AKB but if you believe wenger watched the match oblivious to fact his players were doing their own thing, then you really haven't been paying attention for the last 18 years.
Are you having a laff ??

That is the lamest defence of wenker ever

If the players feel that they need to use their tactics instead of wenkers, then what does it say about their lack of confidence in his gameplan ? We have an £8.5m per season manager and he needs the players to sort out the tactics

That he listened to the players and went along with their wishes doesnt really hide the fact that even the players, his players, no longer buy into what he is preaching, should send alarm bells within the club. Yes I really like that the senior players finally grew a pair and finally told him where he is going wrong, but going forward now who decides the tactics ? If we go to the swamp next week (or any game after that) and go with wenkers tactics and have a negative result, where will that leave him ? If we go there with the players gameplan then why are we paying him 8.5m per season ?
I'm wondering how coincidental it is that wenkers admission about the players input into tactical planning, is released on the same day that the article came out in the shewore website

If one was a cynic (which of course I a am not

), then one could suggest that somebody within the club is hanging him out to dry and he was backed into a corner about it
