The FA holds final discretion over when the kickoff times are arranged. I would think the Met might have a quiet word with them about potentially 9,000 football opposition supporters not being able to get home after the match.Gunner Rob wrote:first of all I can guarantee that for as long as we stay in the FA CUP this season we will NOT play an FA Cup game at 3pm on a Saturday. My guess would be the 12:45 kickoff as there is only one train back to Middlesborough after a late kickoff, and that's at 8:00, which boro supporters would be at a stretch to make.Sam59 wrote:when do they decide when it is? As Boro beat City, we'll take this seriously. 3-1 to us.
secondly when did TV ever consult train timetables with regard to kick off times.

What like all the Hull fans after the third round tie?gp543 wrote:The FA holds final discretion over when the kickoff times are arranged. Fair point but Boro could bring up to 3x the numbers that Hull did.Chippy wrote:What like all the Hull fans after the third round tie?gp543 wrote:The FA holds final discretion over when the kickoff times are arranged. Neither Bt not bbc have gone for the early Saturday kick off in either round so far. I reckon late Sat, but agree it'll undoubtedly be picked up.

That's because there's been Friday night both rounds. I wouldn't think that's a possibility with midweek Premiership matches but I suppose if both teams played on the Tuesday they could swing it.northbank123 wrote:Neither Bt not bbc have gone for the early Saturday kick off in either round so far. Like Blackburn you mean?northbank123 wrote:It's a 5th round tie. We're at home to a Championship club. Let's not get carried away with how good they are. Re: FA Cup 5th Round Draw
We didn't lose to Blackburn because they were a tricky tie or a banana skin, we lost because we were utterly appalling on the day. If you want to start perceiving games like this as tricky on the basis of that then crack on but some perspective is needed I think.GoonerN5 wrote:Like Blackburn you mean?northbank123 wrote:It's a 5th round tie. Re: FA Cup 5th Round Draw
We'll need to be much better than 60%.
They'll be coming to us with pot loads of confidence having convincingly beaten the bin dippers on their own patch. I do think we'll beat them but it will not be a walk in the park by any means. We'll have to be on our game for this.
2-0

2-0 sounds about right, we will beat this lot, the dippers played sh1te that day, I am confident of a good result for us...for a nice change.SPUDMASHER wrote:We'll need to be much better than 60%.

Re: FA Cup 5th Round Draw
also just seen all the other rearranged ties - wow they sure know how to kill off interest in the Cup dont they?
8 ties spread over 6 different times over 3 different days - the 4th round was only a success because of that crazy Saturday afternoon when NONE of the matches were live on TV.
I also feel sorry for Bradford. They should definitely have had a TV game.
who the fuck wants to watch WBA v West Ham or Villa v Leicester??
