Wenger confirms le Coq blocker has signed a new deal. Reports say he's on 40k a wek.

Le Coq Thread

Post by begeegs »

This guy has been exceptional since his recall. We still need a top drawer defensive midfield, but he is a massive upgrade on Arteta and Flamini. If what Wenger said is true and he concentrates on the defensive side of the game, what a turn-around in his career. He must really be one of the first names on the team sheet now and hopefully he can carry on going as he has been.

Let's not get carried away.

He's done better than any of us thought he would, and we need a DM, but he still loses position, often makes rash tackles and his distribution is average at best.

He's done reasonably well, but far from exceptionally.

He has been outstanding since his recall and is probably the one player most responsible for our improved form these past few months.

Schneiderlin + Coquelin would be a fantastic midfield base.

I don't think that it's getting carried away at all. His performances and stats have been nothing short of superb. I know that Wenger lucked into this one, but credit where it's due. The lad has taken his chance with aplomb.

I agree mate, hes been great, and was actually impressed that he came straight back after breaking his nose. Hes still pretty young and will only improve surely. Other point is that slow as BFP is he and kos will surely teach him a few tricks, and likewise BFP may be told to be less of a pussy. :barscarf:

Thought this might've been a bit obscure.........

I wonder if he also wishes he had a rabbit in a hat with a bat.

Once again - exceptional. His positioning was superb tonight and in another big game. If form counts, he is playing like the best defensive midfielder in the Prem. Granted - it has only been since January. Lets hope that he keeps it up because he has been a large factor in our results right now.
