The Last of the Greats - Truly, Truly Sad.
Whether a person likes the blues or just some blues or not at all - The likes of Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson,Blues Boy King, John Lee Hooker, and Howlin Wolf were the one's from whom the likes of Elvis Presley, the Rolling Stones, The Cream/Clapton, The Beatles were inspired by and so have in turn inspired the bands that many of us were inspired by to pick up an instrument and play...
There are many great guitarists and musicians in the world - but all have their roots and those roots their roots....Hendrix cited these as his heroes, Eddie Van Halen cited Hendrix and the Blues Men....Joe Satriani said like wise....as did Steve Winwood, Johnny Marr, Toni Iommi, Richie Blackmore,....etc etc
As someone said of BB King - "Other guitarists can play a million notes and never say anything...BB King could play one note and say it all".
If anyone wants to hear some BB King - this is a good one...
