FFs with 10 to 15 mins to go, why didn't Wenger bring on Gabriel, played him at the back alongside Kos and pushed Merts up front. And then got down the flanks and just used the German to win knock down headers for players to run on to or to be up there as a nusiance. Wenger made two subs and it was like for like. Bung Merts up there would of given their defenders something else to think about.
What? You mean do something different and stop the pointless tippy tappy shite? You can't just change the way you're playing in the middle of the game you know. That's cheating

AKBs bleating about Sunderland "parking the bus" etc etc etc.

I didn't think it was parking the bus at all. In fact out of the Chelsea, Swansea and Sunderland games i'd say tonight was the least "parking the bus-esque" of all three. They played well tonight, had numerous chances to grab a winner, prevented us playing the one and only style we know. We were shown up yet again as having no clue what to do.

I also like the AKBs retort that "we just need to buy a quality striker" in order for us to be challenging for the title. Not at all. You think sticking Aguero or someone into that lineup tonight would suddenly have us playing like the invincibles again? Fuck off! The personnel we put on the pitch is not the big problem. The problem is the mentality and the playing style. Putting a world class striker into a squad that only knows how to pass in hundreds of tiny triangles isn't gonna make a blind bit of difference.

Our best attacking threat was Bellerin's crosses which he managed quite a few times to put in dangerous area's.

Other than that Jack was positive (running with the ball, not in a Livermore way  )

Attendance for WBA ? Im going to go for 35,000

Sanchez has looked fucked for months, Santi has looked fucked for the past 4 games, Ozil has looked fucked all season yet Mr 30 years has played them all for the past 6 games - even though for the first time in years, he had strong options in the squad! :banghead: :banghead:

If Ozil doen't win 'worst player of the season' in the gooner poll then I will be fecking shocked!! £43m down the drain. He get's a lot of stick on here but I'd take 1 Danny Welbeck for 10 Ozil's any day of the week.

Has had to play every single game as we were relying on him to single handedly dig us out of the shit time and time again for the first half of the season.

Fucking disgraceful.

Wenger and his fetish for playing midfielders everywhere with this square football philosophy.

We are going nowhere.

To be fair, we defended well too, on another day you'd have had 5, harsh to blame Wenger imo

It was a better game than the bore draw against the mancs on sunday. Well done to sunderland who threw everything in front of the ball, and again a goalkeeper who had a match winning performance, Ospina.

Progress is being made we lost a game exactly like this one just last week.

Giroud again proved he is too slow in thought and pace. He was never anywhere near to the ball when crosses were pulled back from the byline which gibbs and bellerin did on quite a few occasions. He never pulls back around the penalty spot which is the area most strikers would eat up chances. Since Henry criticised him he hasn't scored.

Good on Sunderland - have to admit I was happy for them at the end seeing how joyous they were and how they embraced their manager - and how emotional he got. Good on them!

We've lost our rhythm since Wilshere and Walcott have reappeared.
