As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Numbers were good, Fa Cup win means everything. Don't try and be too critical just for the sake of it eh lads.
I don't thinks it's critical for the sake of it, mate. Just a commentary on the difference between last and this year.
If the FA Cup win means everything, then one could argue that a bit of drizzle shouldn't have so reduced the numbers at celebrating such a win.
As it is, I applaud the people who came out anyway and those people who stayed in the pubs putting money in to the local community
dont forget that the police block off all entrances to outside the Armoury - if it wasnt for Health and Safety there would have been twice as many people outside than there actually were.
Think Jack should be a bit more cautious of his song choice but at least he gave the Tut Tutting media something to moan about and help them get over their disappointment of Arsenal destroying Tiny Tim's men. I'm also impressed that a professional footballer knows the words to these songs . But maybe time it better next time Jack.
"My old man said be a Tottenham fan.." was the point they cut over to the studio
Other classics from Jack's album included whaddaya think of Tottenham and "it's happened again"
Watched it on youtube last night and it was soooo funny when they cut back to the studio and the presenter had his hand over his face out of embarrassment

As fans we all complain about the detachment between fans and players nowadays and far too often we see players who dont understand the rivalry factors for fans, but yet when one of our players uses to chance to have a pop at our nearest rivals we are meant to castigate him for doing it ?? Fair fcuks to you jack

This.
So if your son or daughter goes to school and starts singing my old man said be a tottenham fan.......... thats ok right?
You talk about a disconnect with the fans, you don't have to resort to expletives in a family environment to show this.
Ohh wait, scrap that you probably haven't got any kids.

I have two sons (aged 12 and 10) and neither refers to sperz as anything other than the scum Maybe I am wrong to tolerate/encourage that, but I am a Gooner and as a Gooner I have done several foolish/stupid things born out of a love of MY club and I will not apologise for that. When I bring my kids to matches (locally and to Arsenal games) I expect them to hear bad language and the day that stadiums are totally santitised will be a sad day for the game. When I bring my kids to the grove I expect them to listen and learn the words of the various chants regardless of what profanities are in the chants. This is a system that has been passed on through the generations and it works for me

Big difference between scum and *word censored* imo. Even this forum doesn't permit it to be shown.
It's nothing to do with sanitising atmosphere. You don't have to use the word *word censored* to portray passion. What has diluted passion in english football grounds is the price we have to pay to watch our team. A lot of working class fans that used to watch us play in the 70s/80s can't afford to go these days. It is these fans that used to stand on the terraces and create the atmosphere.
They have been replaced by the prawn sandwich brigade. The way you bring your kids up is your right, but trust me most adults wont have their kids exposed to this sort of language.
Edit.... Also can anyone tell me what happens inside the ground when 20,000 sing out these above songs and the kids are there?
Edit2 ..... We'll be running round Tottenham with our **** hanging out singing I've got a ********** haven't you ...banned
(Insert name here) mother is a ******** banned
Your **** and you know you are .....banned
And just imagine a good old rendition of ten men went to *** went to *** a ****** ten men and his dog Spot went to *** a ***** ....... Woah the world will end

Sky have given this non story the maximum , the same TV station that on Friday described the Heysel disaster as " a wall collapsing after some crowd trouble" (paraphrasing there) . 18 or so years of "sit down you pedophile " at Old Trafford and nothing from the media again double standards in reporting. Jack made a drink filled miscalculation. Now even some papers are saying it overshadowed the cup final win.
Remind me of how Freddie Flintoff became a national hero and is still the subject of game show quips for being publicly drunk in 2005.
