He seems to love playing, so surely it's better to move to a club where he will play more before it's too late?

Oh well. No problem with him staying as long as we sell other attacking players (e.g. Campbell, Podolski, Diaby, Theo) otherwise there will be no room for new players.
Thomas would stay because hes happy picking up circa 65-70k pw.(maybe more). No pressure. The fans love him.
Doubt he would get that anywhere else at this stage.

It a better move for Thomas than for Arsenal imo. As g88ner mentions Thomas and the other "internal solutions" could inhibit the purchase of quality replacements.

Considering that he hardly ever plays, it is a waste of his talent and our resources .
As already stated he brings a bit of tempo and forward movement with the ball instead of ball retention for its own sake.
Hope that is means Arteta, Flamini, Diaby are on the way out and he has been retained to keep a little bit of experience for the carling cup matches next year. :rubchin:

Diaby? As in, like, Abou Diaby? The guy who used to play for us Diaby? That Diaby? Or a different one?
You mean hes still on our books, getting paid actual cash money?

I like him but I'm not really happy about it, he's hardly featured this year which tells you Wenger doesn't rely on him but is keeping him here to save adding quality to replace him.

Saw Wenger talking about Sonogo, Podolski and Campbell coming back too, they wasn't good enough for the squad this year so why have them involved next, to save money.

That's the problem with these kind of decisions. Will we still go in to next season with a lot of excess baggage in the squad?

I'll be astonished if Sanago is not in the squad. Wenger has something to prove every couple of years and Sanogo looks like the one this time around.

The ink is barely dry on his new contract and already he is reverting to his default (injured) state

I'm shocked

Let me guess, it'll be Arteta next. Nothing changes at Groundhog FC.

They are all fighting for Diaby's bed in the treatment room :banghead:

Sums Wenger up rewarding crocks with new contracts.
