Great result and a great goal but oh dear me, if we get through, we are on the first plane home. Awful game to watch. If Germany had really needed the win I think they could have tanked us tbh. Yeah we fought hard but we had nothing of quality going forward until Long's goal. :|

Again I was amazed by just how shite Wes Hoolahan is. He is like a more stupid over-elaborate version of Ramsey on Ramsey's worst backheeling dawdling on the ball day.

Also, can someone please explain how John fucking hoof O'Shea ever made it as a pro footballer, and indeed, a trophy winner with Manure?
hoolahan was great last night, done more in any 5 mins then ozil did in 90. mccarthy motm and rightly deserved. give them some credit .
Absolutely don't agree, REB + Bradwasking regarding Hoolohan. I agree he has creativity, as has Rambo, but he was so ineffective again last night, constantly losing possession, getting caught on the ball, and trying stupid shit like backheeling blindly in his own box! Sorry lads, take off the green tinted specs! Credit where it's due, they worked and fought hard and fair fucks it's a great result, but let's not pretend there was any real quality out there (apart from Long's finish which was top drawer).

Enjoyed the 3 home nation matches. 2 great goals by the Scottish, but what a terrible goal to give away in last 30 seconds. Well played N.I. Fantastic result and automatic qualification with a group of good professional players and i cant believe Rep if Ireland pulled off that result against the world champions, and could top the group if they win in Poland and Germany lose or draw. Noticed Ozil was playing on the left of a front three, his game is the same and he plays the same way with the national team as he does with us. If as expected Wales go through does that show that the premier league is the strongest league in Europe as it has players developed in the league and represent four nations that have qualified for an international competition.

Fair plsy to n.ireland as well, top of the group-were they 5th seeds?

The Poland equalizer made a big difference to us coz any draw would have been enough for automatic qualification. Now we need to win or a 2-2 draw or a higher scoring draw is needed.

Unless of course Ze Germans fuck up again :barscarf: :barscarf:

Where will that leave us ? Does that get us 2nd or 3rd ? Sorry but I haven't followed it

If teams finish level it goes head to head. We are both level at the moment and they drew 1-1 at our place. So we would have to draw 2-2 coz if its 1-1 I think it then goes to goal difference which they have better.

If we finish level with Ze Germans ie we draw and they get beat by Georgia we'll finish ahead of them on head to head.

I think

Also we cannot finish below 3rd so are guaranteed a play off place.

It goes to away goals scored in the head-to-head ties. Since it was 1-1 in Dublin, any score draw of 2-2 or higher puts the Irish in second and through to the finals automatically.

If any of you fancy a game this weekend I suggest you keep your boots in the car.

England have qualified, the game is pretty irrelevant and half the squad have pulled out injured. Who'd have thought it.

34 year old Carrick has declared himself fit (Hurrah!), but Roy is still looking for a striker.

If any goal Poland score isn't absolutely and entirely above board then "man of the people" John Delaney will send a strongly worded letter to FIFA and UEFA demanding we be let in because some of our fans are a bit nicely behaved and that terrible rotter Thiery "The Murderer" Henry already robbed us and, indeed, caused the deaths of over 15,000 Irish citizens with his heinous crime against humanity.

By "man of the people" I do of course mean "jumped up fucking moron". 8)
