9 clubs had record attendance when Arsenal visited, second is Man Utd with 7, this club is massive with great HistoryRedarmy wrote:Redarmy wrote:must have been a first division game suppose, not sure we have met in a cup game...i will google it nowmarkmark64 wrote:Redarmy wrote:Brentford away would have been good, only London club never been to
When is the last time we played Brentford, guessing here but i think its in the 1930s?
1946/47 season actually..Only joking redarmy,i didnt know either so i googled it.
Their record league attendance was when the Arsenal visited in 1938,
38,358 at Griffin Park.....so many clubs seem to have their record attendance when the Arsenal visited

Indeed he will and lets hope he does. The magic of winning this cup never wears off for me and I'd love us to do it 3 times in a row. Still the best day out in footballRedarmy wrote:Think Allardyce will pick a lot of reserves for this one, his target is understandably staying up
And his bonus is probably aligned to that also

And all of the three highest attendances ever in English football occurred at Arsenal games. The highest attendance at Highbury was before elfin safety was dreamed up for a game v Sunderland at over 73000; that can't have been comfortable!Redarmy wrote:9 clubs had record attendance when Arsenal visited, second is Man Utd with 7, this club is massive with great HistoryRedarmy wrote:Redarmy wrote:must have been a first division game suppose, not sure we have met in a cup game...i will google it nowmarkmark64 wrote:Redarmy wrote:Brentford away would have been good, only London club never been to

How many do you think you'll bring to the Emirates? Looked like Sunderland only took up the normal league allocation of 3k from the stadium map when I bookedsafcftm wrote:£36.50 to watch two reserve teams in the third round?
Re: FA Cup 3rd Round
Yeah mate looks like just the 3,000 which is a bit of a shame, despite the high price for the round we'll sell that out easily (plenty will travel with it being Saturday 3pm and we've got a pretty large London branch). At £36.50 we wouldn't probably have sold many more than 5,000 like but those extra 2,000 seats would have been canny and added to the atmosphere, looks like we a bringing 3,000Ziegler1988 wrote:How many do you think you'll bring to the Emirates? Re: FA Cup 3rd Round
I dunno, 2 seasons ago (Just before their League cup final appearance...) they didnt take up the full league allocation, managed as red member to get 3 tickets just by them in the clock end. Their "f**K all your gonna win f**k all" chanting was thought of with a touch of shrardendodah after we won the FAC that season contrasted with their 1-4 pasting at Wemberlee

Re: FA Cup 3rd Round
We didn't get pasted 4-1 at Wembley, it was 3-1, we took the lead and city scored the third right at the end after we missed a gilt edged chance to equalise, so hardly a pasting. Not sure what allocation we took that year but it was oversubscribed so, if we didn't take the 3,000 we should have done http://www.safc.com/news/ticket-news/20 ... e-sold-outTheoperator wrote:I dunno, 2 seasons ago (Just before their League cup final appearance...) they didnt take up the full league allocation, managed as red member to get 3 tickets just by them in the clock end. Don't remember us ever singing the boring, generic "you're gonna win fuck all" chant but will take your word for it
