Robert Pires......What a genius.....

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Speaking of Villa Park I know you must remember Abous festive cracker there in 2008

Pure genius ! And if you watch the celebrations afterwards you'll see Rodders and Augie giving Abou a big hug !
He actually nutmegs the villan defender with a back heel - Just gotta admit that was 'Class'.

What makes it worse is that le bumhole let him go on a free  disgusting treatment of such a great player :( And even more galling is le fartpipes later decision to sign the utterly shite(and in his 30s bytheway) silvestre from the mancscum on what i think was a 2yr deal  :banghead:

Allowing our older players from the Invincibles to leave so soon and replacing them largely with younger payers was our downfall. There was no experience on the pitch to nurture the young talent we had.

And when you see Rosicky is still at the club on a good whack, offering no return whatsoever at 35 !!!

The way - and the speed - that TOF broke up the Invincibles was a disgrace, as was his rampant ageism to the over 30s - Only to U-turn and offer multi-year contracts to less talented over 30s who did become plodders :banghead:

Pires was class :barscarf:
