Being a bit charitable to AW (for a nanosecond

25 is very young for a goalkeeper at this level BTW

But mate you've got it all wrong. Everyone knows nasty Stan doesnt make ANY money available to Wenger.Redarmy wrote:With a predicted end of season figure of around £250 million, Arsenal have the BIGGEST cash reserves in world football
This really has to be some kind of sick joke, when the title was within reach the old miser just will not add to his squad
If Scum win the Title that is me done.....
But, but, but we're a successful football franchise, how dare you complain.... but thanks for your interestSteveO 35 wrote:Nice to see the benefit of all those commercial deals Ivan banged on about so much more than a year ago
I wonder if we'll ever see it reinvested in the team.....but that would just get in the way of our core businesses of property development and global branding.
We need to save that cash to compete with the likes of Chelski and fulfill our prophecy of competing with the Barca's of this world! £250m anticipated year end cash, and still the excuses will keep coming. Yep a sick joke that he signed just zero outfield players over summer, but had no problems telling the fans to pay up on more expensive tickets.armchair wrote:Wengers had £200 million available to reinvest in the team. Didnt use it. (Well he bought a non-playing Egyptian for what 12mill?)
I know............
Lets all protest against Stan to make even more funds available to Wenger so he wont use that either.
While the AKB'S use Sanchez and Ozil as prime examples of Wenger's supposed willingness to spend, it's forgotten how many transfer windows around those signings that we have wasted with little or no activity. When you consider how open the title race is this season, even a slight upgrade on Giroud or a top class DM could have made the difference. Instead, we have a manager who views players on the basis that they are fit for purpose(finishing in the top 4) and isn't willing to go that extra step in order to be successful. He really is the board's wet dream, spends fuck all and 'achieves' top 4 every season.Redarmy wrote:With a predicted end of season figure of around £250 million, Arsenal have the BIGGEST cash reserves in world football

As far as Ozil goes, I still firmly believe he was signed primarily by Gazidis who had been quoted in the press as saying we were spending and who was imo frustrated by Wengers embarrassing, shambolic, small-time failure over Suarez.BFG4 wrote:While the AKB'S use Sanchez and Ozil as prime examples of Wenger's supposed willingness to spend, it's forgotten how many transfer windows around those signings that we have wasted with little or no activity. The AKBs will get a rude awakening this summer I reckon, if/when we fail to win the title because Ozil still hasn't signed the deal that's on the table and not had Alexis. Ozil I can see buggering off to somewhere like Munich or Juve, whilst for Alexis it makes perfect sense to hop ship to Pep's Citeh (Pep is the one who propelled him into the big time at Barca).armchair wrote:As far as Ozil goes, I still firmly believe he was signed primarily by Gazidis who had been quoted in the press as saying we were spending and who was imo frustrated by Wengers embarrassing, shambolic, small-time failure over Suarez.BFG4 wrote:While the AKB'S use Sanchez and Ozil as prime examples of Wenger's supposed willingness to spend, it's forgotten how many transfer windows around those signings that we have wasted with little or no activity. Also it was at a time when season ticket projections were falling and I belkeve Gazidis had to step in. Wenger may have recommended Gazidis but I believe there is no love lost between them.
Yea I can see us failing to win the league, (god forbid we finish behind tottenham) and Ozil leaving.Ikechukwu1 wrote: The AKBs will get a rude awakening this summer I reckon, if/when we fail to win the title because Ozil still hasn't signed the deal that's on the table and not had Alexis. Alexis I reckon is a long shot but Ozil I can definitely see going if the PL is chucked again this season (it will be). Still at least Giroud and Wally are collecting almost £300k a week between them
We're just 'off the shoulder' of the European giants, you knowSteveO 35 wrote:Nice to see the benefit of all those commercial deals Ivan banged on about so much more than a year ago

The thing is though mate, it won't be a rude awakening from those who fall at the feet of TO1AW. They will simply declare how Alexis and Ozil were traitors and how it was only a money based decision to join Citeh or wherever they may end up.Ikechukwu1 wrote:The AKBs will get a rude awakening this summer I reckon, if/when we fail to win the title because Ozil still hasn't signed the deal that's on the table and not had Alexis.
