WALCOTT - which position is best etc?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

northbank123 wrote:He is a fucking useless shit. I know that Quartz has defended him in the past saying that if you go to games you'll see his movement off the ball is actually quite good - well I already disagreed and having stood through that whole saga today it was the most disinterested shower of shit since Adebayor's last few months.

I really cannot put into words how little I think of this fucking greedy little oxygen-thief.

And whilst he might be a legend in his own mind and used to being wanked over, there was not a single person in that away end who didn't cheer when he was substituted, most of them having cursed him all game.
TBH I've never bought Quartz's argument that Theo's off the ball movement is actually quite good. I've seen him play enough over the years. When he's on form (seldom) his movement is average at best. However most of the time his movement is like his form; appalling. He still hasn't figured out the diagonal run off the shoulder of the last defender (I learnt that in under 10's ffs!!) he still doesn't know how to slip down the channel and cut in for the ball in behind between the fullback and CH (under 12's for that one!). Theo is a very average (at best) player being paid a superstar's wages. Like most of our current team tbh. :|

I tell you where his best position is.....on his knees clearing my fukin drain

Anyway for those of you who are interested I did get my drain cleared after the game on Sunday, in fairness I should have done it during the game as I would have seen less shit that way :| :banghead:

There seems to be a culture of picking on the English talent we have at the club. Iwobi has made quite a few substitute appearances and yet to have an assist or goal to his name.

So this is a racist thing then is it ??

May I suggest that you watch the game on sunday and see again how many times our midfielders looked up to pass forward and seen ZERO runs being made :x He doesn't know when to run. He doesn't know where to run. If the opposition defence sit deep then he is totally screwed because it totally negates the only positive trait he has....speed

Hang on, mate. It's not an anti-English thing. All the players at the club that are there years and earn a fortune and deliver fuck all get slated here. Iwobi is barely in the door. No matter where he came from let's give him a chance to see what he can do. After all we gave Theo 10 years, Wilshere approx 8 years, the Ox 5 years... Should they be excused from criticism because they are English?

'Picking on the English" (note I did not include the word 'talent') Walcott, Gibbs, The Ox, Chambers - ALL english - All playing like utter shyte.....

okay, so either thyey were shyte before they arrivrd and just stayed on that plateau OR They arrived with 'Potential' but that potential has never ben utilised or properly encourged and guided because they play for a man who is a law unto himself and DESTROYS Talent.

He plays players out of position 90% of the time...rather than allowing them to develop, learn and grow as players in a specific area of the field and role as a player - Look at Ramsey (welsh I know) but He has demonstarted that he can be brillaint - even after an horrendous injury - and what happens he starts going backwards - because le Foll plays him out of his natural position.

Further to that, Le Fool continues to buy (when he manage sit) to buy players of a very similare physical build - most of whom are skilled players more than 'warriors' who can get stuck in and do the business when needs be...

Besides Gibbs is shyte and i'll be glad to see when he's gone - There is still 'hope' for The Ox, Wally and Chambers - But only if they get to play under another manager - and Not Le Fool Wenger.

Even Gibbs had ;potential at one point. Clichy went backwards after a good spell when he took over from Cole.

His performance on Sunday was up there with one of the most feckless, cowardly performance ive ever seen.

The bloke hides and that's simply not acceptable.

Worst player in the squad - by some distance, yet one of the highest paid.

Fuck off Walcott, we've been patient but you're just average. Fuck off to somewhere like West Brom or Crystal Palace and take Wilshere and Oxlaide-Chamerlain with you. Pure drains on the club, pure wastes of space pure Wanker tippy tappy, never fit, never good enough weaklings.

Yeah its funny how Clichy and Sagna are now semi regulars at Citeh. Must admit I thought Sagna was on a benching retirement policy, but hes played 50 games and won a trophy. Took him a couple of hundred to get one with us.

Meanwhile Clichy has won more trophys with Citeh than us. Wasnt he surplus to requirements?
